Kirstie Alley has revealed that she has lost a whopping 100lbs. The 60-year-old actress first started dropping the weight after appearing on Dancing With The Stars and said she is finally down to a US size-four. “I’ve lost 100 pounds,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I feel like I’m back in my element. I honestly didn’t even realize what I looked like.” “Before Dancing With The Stars, I bought these dresses from size 14 to 4. [They were] all the same dress, and I said, ‘You know what I really want? I really wanna be in this dress in a 4!’” But she insisted that she won’t be turning to plastic surgery for a quick nip and tuck. “I haven’t had plastic surgery but here’s the reason: People do plastic surgery to make you look younger,” she said. “I don’t think it makes you look younger. It’s more like it can make you look weirder.”
Twilight actress Ashley Greene is set to star as Olivia in a gender-reversed adaptation of Oliver Twist. Greene will feature in the ‘ultra modern take’ of Charles Dickens’ classic book Oliver Twist, entitled Olivia Twisted. The 24-year-old’s character is part of a group of street kids who end up caught in a criminal turf war. Ashley is due to return to our screens as vampire Alice Cullen when Breaking Dawn is released in November.
Olivia Munn has revealed that she grew up hating her curves. As a teenager, the 31-year-old actress refused to wear a bra, and wore baggy T-shirts so that she would look less womanly. “I hated becoming a woman for a long time, so I didn’t wear a bra for a long time,” she told the New York Post. “I would wear these long T-shirts, because I wanted to look like a kid. Around fifth of sixth grade my mother dragged me to Bloomingdale’s and said ‘You’re putting on a bra and throwing away all your oversized T-shirts’.”
Hollywood star Megan Fox has revealed her thin figure was down to a vegan diet, which she has now ditched after losing too much weight. The Transformers star’s waistline slimmed down after giving up dairy products, so she has decided to adopt a new eating plan. The 25-year-old told Amica magazine: “For a year and a half, until about four months ago, I followed a strict vegan diet based on raw fruits and vegetables, no bread, sugar and coffee. But I had lost too much weight. “So now I eat a bit of everything. I train three times a week doing circuit training with my trainer Harley Pasternak.”
Sarah Michelle Geller has revealed that becoming a mum is the best thing she’s ever done. The actress has one-year-old daughter Charlotte Grace with husband Freddie Prinze Jr, and said having her little girl tops all her other achievements. “I don’t want to feel like a failure to my daughter,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “She’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Buffy — pretty great and all, but Charlotte’s way better.” Now working as an actress and co-executive producer in new series Ringer, the 34-year-old revealed she naps on her lunch break so she can get up with Charlotte. She admitted that being the boss has its perks. “My family comes first and you have to be in charge to protect that,” she said. But everyone on the show seems to be on the same page. “Our kids are all the same age,” she said. “It’s a big support system I never had before.”
George Clooney’s relationship with Stacy Keibler appears to be getting serious after the actor reportedly introduced his new woman to his parents. According to Life & Style magazine, the 50-year-old, who split with Elisabetta Canalis earlier this year, is believed to have taken the former wrestler to meet his folks Nick and Nina after just over a month of dating. “It’s a big deal, and Stacy knows it,” said an insider. “She really took to George’s mum and said she’s a sweetheart.” A second source said that what started out as a fling is on the cusp of becoming something much more. “A lot of people thought it was going to be a fling, but it’s not – it’s at the serious point.”
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have reportedly come up with a set of ‘house rules’ to help keep their relationship fresh. The couple moved in together last month after just a couple of months of dating, and have apparently agreed to a few ground rules to make sure that they don’t lose their spark. According to Now magazine, the rules include having a shower together every morning, giving each other a foot rub or massage each night and making every meal a candlelit dinner, even if it is takeaway. They also have to say ‘I love you’ as often as possible and cook for each other at least twice a week.
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker has admitted she doesn’t know how to put make-up on and never does her nails. The 46-year-old revealed her glamorous appearance is all down to a team of stylists. She said to UK’s Star magazine: “It’s not me. I don’t know how to put make-up on. I never do my nails and I almost never do my hair. “I’ve probably had nail polish on my nails twice in 10 years. That’s it. I have manicures only when I’m working and I’m like a butcher when I do them at home. Very badly. “I can’t blow-dry my own hair. I don’t know how and I just sweat.”
Mark Wahlberg is planning to help fans get fit and healthy by launching a ‘wellness business’. The 40-year-old Hollywood actor — who is also set to open a burger joint called Wahlburgers in Boston with brothers Donnie and Paul — said that he is interested in branching out into the world of fitness. He told the Daily Star, “We are interested at some point or another doing our own clothing line in the future. As well as a health and wellness business that will help people first and foremost feel good, exercise, eat right, and then look good. “Eighty-five per cent of the population doesn’t exercise and eat right, and you want to be able to push them in the direction of extending their lifespan and living healthy lives.”
Mel C believes that her new album is her working at her best. The 37-year-old former Spice Girl recently put the finishing touches to The Sea, and thinks it is the best music she has made since her 1999 album Northern Star. She told Digital Spy, “I think it’s me at my best it really reminds me of my first album. “I’m so, so pleased – I think from quite early in the writing sessions I got a really excited feeling because the songs are coming quite quickly and they felt very strong right up to the end. The album has only been ready for about a week. “This is the closest to the release date we’ve actually been finishing.” And she revealed that she realised that she wanted to get back in the studio while appearing in Blood Brothers in London’s West End. “About halfway through the run I started to really miss performing my own music and being myself on stage because it was a whole new experience playing a role and it was brilliant but I did miss being me,” she explained. “I missed having that connection with the audience where you can have a little fun with the guys, and I just thought, ‘it’s time to make a new album’.”
