Selma Blair has joked that she’s going to be totally bald by the time her post-pregnancy hair loss has finished. The actress, who welcomed son Arthur Saint four months ago with boyfriend Jason Bleick, said that hormonal changes have been playing havoc with her hair. “This is so not glamorous, but it’s true. I need to take longer showers so that I can collect the hair that falls out and throw it away so I don’t clog the drain. Why do actresses never talk about that?” she told People magazine. “It just started falling out at the three-month mark, and I’m not a girl who likes extensions, so Selma’s going to be bald!” But while her barnet may be thinning, her son is going from strength to strength. “He rolls over now and he got a bouncy toy! It’s like the biggest moment of your life, ‘Oh my gosh, I get 10 minutes free now!’” she said. “Before, he had a play mat, mummy or daddy or now a nanny that comes for a few hours in the daytime, to hold him. But now, autonomy! He got a Fisher-Price Jumperoo I wish I had one for every room!”

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has claimed she will ‘never be as good’ as her own mother – the late Marcheline Bertrand – but she’ll try her best for her six kids. The 36-year-old, who raises six children, Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with partner Brad Pitt – will try to be a great parent to her children but doesn’t think she’ll ever be as good a mum as Marcheline, who died in 2007. In an interview with US TV show 60 Minutes, Jolie said: “My mother was a full-time mother. She didn’t have much of her own career, her own life, her own experiences. Everything was for her children. “I will never be as good a mother as she was. I will try my best, but I don’t think I ever will be. She was the most generous, loving woman. She is better than me.” Bertrand passed away in 2007 aged 56 after an eight-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Elle MacPherson has revealed that she stripped for Playboy ‘on her own terms’. She explained how she did it to take control when the press started hunting for naked pics after she starred in her birthday suit for the movie Sirens. “I said, ‘OK, you want naked? I’ll give you naked – but on my terms’,” she explained to The Daily Telegraph, adding that she rang photographer Herb Ritts to take the racy snaps that graced the magazine, and also earned her enough cash to buy her mum a house.

Ashton Kutcher is getting a divorce from Demi Moore but he will not be looking for a new woman who tries to ‘change’ him. In an interview given to Women’s Health magazine before his marriage split was announced, Kutcher discussed the best ever relationship advice he has got. “I think it’s all about working on the relationship and making it better when it’s good,” said the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star. “Don’t wait for a problem to work on things. The goal is not to get into a relationship; the goal is to be in a relationship.” Asked what type of woman he could not be with, Kutcher replied: “I could never be with a woman who felt like she needed to change me.” Moore, 49, announced on Thursday that she was breaking up with 33-year-old Kutcher. And Kutcher told the magazine that he still has one relationship goal he is keen to achieve. “I would just like a woman someday, somewhere, at some point in my life to say to me: ‘You’re a great listener;. “Haven’t heard it yet and that’s a superior compliment to get from a woman. But I’m going to work on it.”

Divorcee Olivia Wilde has insisted that people should lay off Kim Kardashian for ending her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries. The In Time actress finalized her own divorce from Italian prince Tao Ruspoli last month after eight years of marriage and said she understands what the reality star is going through. “I empathize. It’s not easy. It’s the hardest thing in the world,” Wilde told the New York Post. “People judge you because divorce is seen as failure. [Kim] took a risk. No one should be attacking her. Our attention should be focused on things that are truly scandalous.”

Breaking Dawn star Nikki Reed has revealed that her fiancé Paul McDonald is “taking control” of their wedding preparations. The 23-year-old actress, who plays Rosalie Hale in the vampire film series, announced her engagement in June after the American Idol finalist popped the question. Speaking about their wedding plans, Reed told MTV News: “He’s doing a lot of it, he is. He’s, like, taking control. He sits with his computer in between songs and is kind of on a roll with everything.” The former OC star was speaking at Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards, which she attended alone as McDonald was away with his group The Grand Magnolias. She said: “Paul’s on my nails. I put Paul on each one of my nails, and that’s his band, The Grand Magnolias. That’s their logo because he can’t be here, and I said I’d take him with me.”

Hollywood star Johnny Depp felt ‘tortured’ hearing his parents argue as a child, so much so he wished that they would break up. The Rum Diary actor’s mother and father Betty Sue Wells and John Christopher Depp Sr. divorced when he was 15. And Depp admits he was relieved when they eventually split because it was the best for him and his three siblings. The 48-year-old said: “I recall hearing my parents argue and thinking, ‘Come on, this is torture. Just split!’ They stuck it out until I was 15, but I’d seen it coming for years. When they finally did divorce, I thought, ‘OK, this is the right thing.’ “My mum got ill after my father left, so my attention was taken up in making sure she was OK. I didn’t have the time until later to mourn that loss of a sense of family, however unhappy.” Johnny also recalled the first time he met long-term partner Vanessa Paradis while he was shooting The Ninth Gate in 1998, and admits he immediately knew they’d be together. The Pirates Of The Caribbean added: “She was wearing a dress with an exposed back and I saw that back and that neck, and then she turned around and I saw those eyes, and – boom! “You have this feeling – I can’t really explain what it was, but I had it when I met her. I saw her across a room and thought: ‘What’s happening to me?’”

Actress Salma Hayek said her daughter Valentina acts like an adult and told her not to talk about her live on TV without checking with her first. The 45-year-old star appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and revealed her daughter had come with her to the studio. She added: “My hairdresser, I have one of the best in the world, Robert Vetica. He was doing her hair and she’s like: ‘What’s this? I look like a sheep!’ I’m like: ‘Like what?’ “[She goes] ‘Like a sheep! Baaa!’ She corrects my English now. She goes: ‘I look like a Dr Seuss character.’ And this is like one of the best hairdressers in the world. She’s four.”
