Nelly Furtado confirmed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Friday that she secretly married sound engineer Demacio “Demo” Castello this past summer. They had worked together on her 2006 album “Loose” which included her hits “Promiscuous” and “Maneater.”
The couple had been engaged since last year.
Nelly who is 29 years old has a four-year-old daughter from a previous relationship that ended in 2005.
She said:
“We got married July 19th, “I love it.”
She went on to say: “It’s a nice phase of my life. I just feel kind of free and relaxed and more in tune with trying not to be so stressed out,[I'm] trying to enjoy things a little more.”
She also added: “I’m happy … I’m excited about the future.”
Natasha Bedingfield gave a surprise performance at NYC’s Hiro on Sunday night and while there happily announced her engagement to her boyfriend Matt Robinson. The couple have been together for two years.
Bedingfield, became famous for singing the Hills theme song, “Unwritten,” and her boyfriend is a California businessman.
She had this to say about him:
“He’s a business man, and it really is a good balance for my career because he’s always a solid rock that I just feel very comfortable with, and I feel very loved. I was single for a long, long time and I kind of went down kicking and screaming because I liked my single-ness, but he was someone definitely worth giving up being single for.”
She went on to say:
“We go hiking together… it’s very romantic. We like doing the same things.” “He’s very built. Everyone thinks he’s my bodyguard!”
Star Magazine reported that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were planning their wedding. Not so says the ‘groom to be’
Joel Madden set the record straight:
“So i feel really stupid even posting this, but i’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding. I guess the only answer i could give them was that i didnt know we were having one. So i just found out that star magazine wrote some story about a 2 MILLION dollar wedding we are supposed to be having, and thats where it came from. Sooooo if you were pissed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, dont blame me, theres nothing to worry about. Its just star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? i give them a week or two……”
Point taken! Now if he would only learn to use punctuation!
