Sex And The City could be heading back to TV screens. Plans for a third film have reportedly been shelved, and a new series of the show is on after producers reportedly met up in Hollywood last week to discuss the future of SATC. A source told the Daily Mail: “Ultimately, Darren Star — the man who created the hit series — will have the overall say, but everyone is agreed a TV show is the direction they want to take the franchise in. “Sarah Jessica Parker will be producing. She was worried about doing another film after the bad reaction to the SATC2 movie, but a TV show is definitely something she wants to happen. “They want to make the TV series before doing another film.”

Reality star Audrina Patridge is open to plastic surgery as she isn’t sure how she’s going to age. Despite keeping quiet about rumours she’s had a boob job, the Hills beauty says she hasn’t ruled out going under the knife when she is older. She told More! magazine: “I haven’t had facial surgery or anything like that, but if I felt I needed it, I would.” But while the 26 year-old refuses to rule out cosmetic surgery, she does advise her young fans to wait before undergoing such procedures. She added: “Young girls should enhance what they already have, and if they feel they want surgery they should wait 10 years, or they might regret it.” Patridge also added that she doesn’t have to worry about following a strict diet to maintain her figure. Patridge, who is currently dating BMX rider Corey Bohan, said: “I actually have a problem putting on weight. I have always been skinny. But I do something active every day. I got to the beach, run, do Pilates or play volleyball.”

The View co-host Sherri Shepherd has reportedly told bosses at Dancing With The Stars that she’s “too busy” to star on the next series of the show. It’s claimed Shepherd has been approached by bosses to join the line-up on the new series and, according to TMZ, officials have been “aggressively courting her”. However, the star is set to get married later this month while the hit US show is on a break and it’s claimed once she goes back to work she won’t have enough time to prepare. So Shepherd has declined the offer and told bosses she won’t be appearing on the dancing show.

The cast of Desperate Housewives may soon be leaving Wisteria Lane. The upcoming eighth season of the long-running primetime TV series could be its last, according to US reports. TV network ABC and the soap’s producers could make an announcement within the next few weeks, according to the New York Post and TVGuide. But it’s not all bad news for fans, as the show’s creator Marc Cherry and executive producer Bob Daily would “pull out all the stops for a last hurrah” for the show that made stars of Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, and Eva Longoria. “It’s all dependent on the ratings,” an insider told TVGuide. “It will be up against some stiff competition.” However, an ABC spokesperson told the New York Post that “no decision has been made yet, it seems like people are just guessing”.

It looks like the singer manages to be pretty subtle about what goes on behind the curtains during the show and how she supposedly frustrates her fellow judges and the rest of the people involved in making “The Voice”. After the show’s finale, Christina Aguilera actually sounded decent in her tweet about the show’s end: “This is IT!!! Congrats to all my fellow coaches and their teams for making it this far and for all your hard work! We all deserve to win.” It’s good that she managed to show at least a little gratitude at the end of it all, especially given how much she’s making for each episode. Maybe things will flow easier on the show’s next season.

This is most likely going to put a pause on the musical career… but not forever. Even though she didn’t get the job at the US X Factor, Jessica Simpson will be a mentor on the NBC reality series “Fashion Star”. This is what NBC’s executive vice president had to say about Jessica Simpson being on the show: “With an almost billion-dollar lifestyle brand under her belt she is sure to be an excellent mentor to our up-and-coming designers.” Well it certainly looks like the singer’s new bosses approve of her. Who needs Simon Cowell when you can have NBC?

Kim Cattrall has revealed that she finds dating ‘difficult’. The 54-year-old actress, who plays sex-mad Samantha Jones in Sex And The City, said that her outspoken character has had an effect on her own romantic life. Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she confirmed that she is out on the singles market and ‘trying’ to meet Mr Right. “It’s very difficult,” she told Ellen, who replied, “I would think that it would be difficult, that men would be intimidated.” “A little bit. Yeah,” said Kim. “Writing a book about the female orgasm didn’t help my dating career either. “Men like to think that they know it all, especially in that department.”

Kirstie Alley’s DWTS partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy has praised the star’s attitude to training. The pair are currently training in preparation for the start of the new season, where Alley will compete against stars such as Kendra Wilkinson and Petra Nemcova. Speaking about Alley’s progress, Chmerkovskiy told In Touch: “Her strengths are that she wants to do it. She just wants to dance. Sometimes I think she forgets what we are doing. “I’m like, ‘It’s a show!’ And she’s like, ‘No, just teach me [the steps], I want to dance!’” The professional dancer added that when he tells her there isn’t time to learn each step perfectly, she tells him: ‘Okay, we’ll stay later!’ He added: “She just loves the idea, she loves the movement, shedding off weight, losing a lot.”
