Former Hills star Kristin Cavallari and her ex-fiance Jay Cutler have returned their wedding gifts. The gesture serves as confirmation that the pair, who began dating last September, have called off their three-month engagement. Kristin, 24, and the Chicago Bears quarterback registered for several luxury bakeware and kitchen items before they broke up, and have now handed the presents back to their would-be wedding guests. A letter obtained by Deadspin reads: “You are probably aware that our engagement was recently broken off. “Because of this, we have returned your gift and you should receive a refund on your credit card. The kindness of your gift is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for thinking of us!” Items included bakeware such as $50 Williams-Sonoma mixing bowls. Cavallari was reportedly ‘devastated’ by her split with Cutler.

The cast of Desperate Housewives may soon be leaving Wisteria Lane. The upcoming eighth season of the long-running primetime TV series could be its last, according to US reports. TV network ABC and the soap’s producers could make an announcement within the next few weeks, according to the New York Post and TVGuide. But it’s not all bad news for fans, as the show’s creator Marc Cherry and executive producer Bob Daily would “pull out all the stops for a last hurrah” for the show that made stars of Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, and Eva Longoria. “It’s all dependent on the ratings,” an insider told TVGuide. “It will be up against some stiff competition.” However, an ABC spokesperson told the New York Post that “no decision has been made yet, it seems like people are just guessing”.

It looks like the singer manages to be pretty subtle about what goes on behind the curtains during the show and how she supposedly frustrates her fellow judges and the rest of the people involved in making “The Voice”. After the show’s finale, Christina Aguilera actually sounded decent in her tweet about the show’s end: “This is IT!!! Congrats to all my fellow coaches and their teams for making it this far and for all your hard work! We all deserve to win.” It’s good that she managed to show at least a little gratitude at the end of it all, especially given how much she’s making for each episode. Maybe things will flow easier on the show’s next season.

Cameron Diaz fed popcorn to David Letterman in a re-enactment of the moment she was caught on camera at the Superbowl. The 64-year-old chat show host looked ecstatic as Diaz, 38, shoved handfuls of the snack into his mouth. He looked less than impressed, however, during the actress’s entrance into his chat show studio – when she accidentally stepped on his toe with her stiletto shoe. “Was that my toe or my heel that just penetrated your big toe?” a horrified Diaz asked. “Look at those heels. For the love of god. I’d be bleeding to death if you got me with one of those,” Letterman laughed. Diaz, who is currently promoting her new movie Bad Teacher joked that she first met boyfriend Alex Rodriguez after treading on his toe. “Funnily enough Dave, I stepped on his foot with my heel. I staked him. Feel familiar?” she quipped, when asked how they met.

Hollywood stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette may be experiencing a bumpy patch in their marriage – but it seems they make a pretty good business team. The currently separated Scream 4 actors have reportedly sold a pilot to US TV network CBS for a game show titled Identity Crisis. Courteney, 47, and David, 39, will co-executive produce the project through their company, Coquette Productions. Identity Crisis is based on a board game and will see teams attempt to guess famous names, ranging from fictional characters to entertainers. Late show funnyman Craig Ferguson is expected to host. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pilot is set to be filmed this summer. The estranged couple are already behind hit US show Cougar Town.
