The Scottish singing sensation is apparently gearing up to go into the studio and record another album. It seems that Simon Cowell truly has big plans for Susan Boyle and after all… he has to finance The X Factor in the US somehow. So the singer will be recording her second album together with producer Steve Mac and the record will consist of more covers of classic songs. One wouldn’t want Susan Boyle going overboard with the originality now. After all, her first album has sold so well and those are the kinds of values that Simon Cowell promotes… why change a working system?
Susan Boyle’s upcoming second album is already poised to be 2010’s Christmas Number 1 in the UK and the singer hasn’t even recorded it yet. Amazon has already received 2 million requests over the past two week for her follow up album and it’s set to become the biggest album pre-order in the website’s history. A source said “We haven’t seen this before. It’s seven months ahead of the release and already people are putting in requests for pre-sales. It’s an incredible achievement already.” As for the YouTube sensation, she says that she’s “hoping to make it better and a bit extra special.”
It looks like she changed her mind in a hurry. After showing her undying appreciation for all that Susan Boyle has accomplished in such a short time, Elaine Paige went ahead and continued her support for the Scottish star saying: “I am a huge supporter of Susan Boyle and admire what she has achieved; she has handled the extraordinary situation of being catapulted to worldwide stardom with tremendous strength, charm and dignity. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her on the TV special we recorded together only last month.” It is strange how not even the weather seems to change as fast as Ellen Paige’s opinions do. Oh well, again, what would Susan Boyle’s career be without the appreciation of someone as experienced as Elaine Paige.
