Mel C believes that her new album is her working at her best. The 37-year-old former Spice Girl recently put the finishing touches to The Sea, and thinks it is the best music she has made since her 1999 album Northern Star. She told Digital Spy, “I think it’s me at my best it really reminds me of my first album. “I’m so, so pleased – I think from quite early in the writing sessions I got a really excited feeling because the songs are coming quite quickly and they felt very strong right up to the end. The album has only been ready for about a week. “This is the closest to the release date we’ve actually been finishing.” And she revealed that she realised that she wanted to get back in the studio while appearing in Blood Brothers in London’s West End. “About halfway through the run I started to really miss performing my own music and being myself on stage because it was a whole new experience playing a role and it was brilliant but I did miss being me,” she explained. “I missed having that connection with the audience where you can have a little fun with the guys, and I just thought, ‘it’s time to make a new album’.”
Pregnant star Mel B said she’s resisting buying too much stuff for her unborn baby. The 36-year-old is currently expecting her third child but her first with husband Stephen Belafonte. She said to PEOPLE: “I’m really so behind with all that stuff. With my other two, I just waited until they were born and [then I] sensed what works and what doesn’t.” Mel added that she doesn’t know what sex the baby is. She said: “It’s nice to have something left to surprise yourself. You get everything neutral – not too much stuff until the baby arrives.” Mel also has two girls – Phoenix Chi, 12, and Angel Iris, four – from previous relationships.
Has apparently come to an end at last… the former Spice Girls star was seen at the red carpet premiere of Eddie Murphy’s latest movie, “Shrek Ever After”, which was a bit of a weird thing since Melanie B and the actor haven’t had the most amiable of relationships. However, according to Melanie B that’s all passed now. Apparently, even getting knocked-up by a famous guy that won’t admit to it passes after enough years. Or maybe Melanie B just let go of the whole thing for the child’s sake. Even her daughter by Eddie Murphy seems to be getting along quite well with her father.
A leading Irish fashion designer lashed out at celebrities using their names to jump to the top of the rag trade.
Paul Costelloe told the media at his opening show at London’s Fashion Week that celebrities should be content with their luxury lifestyles.
“I object to celebrities sticking their toe in and stepping out again, like Victoria Beckham and Sienna Miller’s sister – they’ll be here for a couple of seasons and then they’re off, and we’re still hanging around,” he said.
He particularly targeted Beckham, whose fashion credentials are solid, compared to other design-by-association celebs. But Costelloe went in for the kill.
“She (Beckham) should be happy enough living with David Beckham – or maybe not, but stop competing with us struggling fashion designers,” he said.
Victoria Beckham, a former Spice Girl, has earned kudos since launching her label.
Other celebs have picked up her designs, which have an authentic Victoria Beckham look. Her fourth collection, shown during New York Fashion Week, was well received.
The Spice girls have dropped Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina, from their tour reportedly because of poor ticket sales. Here is the ‘official’ statement that of course would never boast about low ticket sales.
“Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri,Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria. It was announced in June that, as well as the Europe and the US, the girls planned to visit Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina. Due to the phenomenal demand for tickets in the UK and the US along with the touring logistics for such a massive production it was not possible to fit everything in. As the girls return to normal family life and the kids go back to school they are reviewing all the options, who knows what the future might bring!”
I like how they keep it open just incase the girls need more cash they can do a quick show here and there.
Looks like Mel B had her hands full at one of the Spice Girl’s concerts in London at the 02 arena. I guess she just wanted to see what Victoria Beckam’s perky implants feel like. Why do Victoria’s boobs look so hard, I just don’t get why any girl would get implants that look like that!
Here is a new promo shot from the Spice Girls. It looks as though Geri forgot her top, (what a surprise). I thought the main reason why they broke up in the first place, was because Geri always tried to be the center of attention, and with abs like that how can she not be?
Sporty Spice, has recently said she will quit the tour in a heartbeat if any of them start acting like bitchy. She said, “If it goes into a diva drama, I’m out of the circus.”
If she quits the tour I think there will be a lot of angry people out there have have paid massive amounts to see the girls.

Scary Spice, celebrated yesterday by sitting at the pool and drinking a 200 dollar bottle of champagne, probably on Eddie! Living a celebrity lifestyle is rough if you have no money. I am sure she will milk Eddie for all the money she can. Along with doing the whole spice tour thing.

He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy. I am pretty sure he hasn’t paid child support yet, but is planning on it since all this negative publicity we have been seeing lately. Especially when both of his ex’s met up with their kiddies at The Ivy earlier this week!
