The Girls Aloud singer is apparently feeling a bit insecure about how she looks at the moment so she is working really, really hard on attaining a new fitness goal. Sarah Harding has set herself that goal in the form of a special skill she wants to master. This is what she had to say on the matter: “I could definitely be slimmer, but I’m working on it with my trainer. I want to crack nuts with my ass! Do I have ugly days? All the time. I have breakouts, or days when I’m pictured with a double chin. I just think, ‘Urgh, I want to run away and hide.’” Well it is pretty clear that Sarah Harding knows what she wants… and if she does manage to master such a skill she might even come to realize that she has a trade to fall back to should her career with Girls Aloud go awry.
“Glee” was back on TV this week with the episode entitled “Funeral”. If you weren’t reduced to a blubbering fool during this episode, you don’t have much of a heart. Jean, Sue Sylvester’s sister, passed away. With Sue not knowing how to deal with the loss of the only family she considers to have, Kurt and Finn both offered the glee club’s help to make the arrangements and to help Sue as she grieves. I was in tears as Will read Sue’s eulogy for Jean when she couldn’t fight back her own tears. I cried even harder when the New Directions sang “Pure Imagination”, Jean’s favorite song from her favorite movie. After the funeral, we saw Finn break up with Quinn. There were also auditions held for the lead at nationals, with Jesse’s consulting leading to in-fighting, Jesse kissing Rachel with Finn seeing it and Quinn mysteriously saying she has plans for when they get to New York. I can’t wait to see what we’re in for in the finale.

The singer has recently admitted that a big part of the fear that kept him from coming out as a gay man was the fact that he considered homosexuality to be evil. This is what Ricky Martin had to say on the matter: “Being Ricky Martin back then and what I was feeling were not compatible. I was the sex symbol and I needed to dance and I needed to make girls crazy and I couldn’t say that I was gay. It was a lot of struggle. If you add to that whether you call it culture, religion, society but what I was feeling, according to what I had in my mind, was evil and I’m very lucky today that what I have in my mind is love and I’m very happy.” Well it is true that the Catholics all want you to believe that homosexuality is evil, but Ricky Martin shouldn’t have been worried about losing his sex symbol status… if anything, he might just have expanded his crowd.

The singer who some time ago underwent some pretty serious head trauma and had to go through some serious medical treatment has apparently found someone to blame for it all: The Tony Awards. Apparently it was his accident at the 2009 ceremony that brought him in that condition, or so Bret Michaels believes. This is what Bret Michael’s attorney had to say on the matter: “The Tony Awards dropped a piece of the stage on Bret’s head, and then instead of doing the right thing, joked about it and played it off for ratings … Bret never wanted to file a lawsuit, but the Tony Awards have left us with no choice. They must be held accountable for almost killing Bret, and that is what we are going to do.” If there is justice to be done, then Bret Michaels must seek it out… after all, as the old saying goes: better late than never.
Ricky Martin was recently honored with a GLAAD Media Award at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City this past Saturday. The 39-year old pop singer was honored with the Vito Russo Award, which celebrates openly gay and lesbian entertainers. He said “I’m walking today with my head up high, and to be here? To be receiving an award? I’ve only started.” Ricky also said that he’s proud to be out, saying “I’ve been through an intense spiritual process for the last five years, especially the last two years. I needed to share it with the world.” Congratulations Ricky!
Reports recently surfaced that George Michael and his partner of 15 years, Kenny Goss, had split due to the singer’s issue with drugs. However, the rumors are false. George took to his Twitter to crush the false news saying “Would someone Tweet 5wrightstuff and tell them the Sun is lying through its teeth as usual.” The music icon must have been so upset because he then called the radio station and said “It is complete bullshit about myself and Kenny breaking up. Don’t believe this story. We’ve had our problems but he’s never had a problem with my lifestyle. I love Kenny very much.”
At least that’s what the singer thinks of herself. When recently asked in an interview given to “Marie Claire” magazine about the most romantic thing she’d ever done, Adele had only this to reply: “I’m bitter. I don’t remember the good things.” Well, that’s certainly going to drive off any potential mate that Adele might have hoped to have in the near future. Still, they say honesty is a virtue… although they might be wrong about that, at least in this time and age. However, bitter does seem to make Adele’s music sound reasonably good, but maybe that is to be expected since soul mostly feeds on sadness and negativity.
It seems that, despite all of the things she has accomplished thus far, there are still some things that Britney Spears wants to accomplish. One of them is learning trapeze. This is what Britney Spears replied on twitter for a fan who asked her what further aspirations she has: “I’ve always wanted to do trapeze. LOL. And run with the lions..” Maybe she could combine the two so as to create a more efficient system. It would most likely be a great show too. Only the thought of Britney Spears running from a few lions while also jumping on a trapeze or two is hysterical. Too bad she didn’t have these aspirations when she was working on “Circus”.
It seems that the singer’s fans have found quite the untapped merchandising market: Adele’s dog’s poo. This is what Adele related about her fans’ new marketing schemes: “The other day I was up north (Northern England) and there were these – well, I don’t think they were fans actually, they were like eBayers. I’d be at the venue, they’d be there. I’d leave the venue and they’d be there. Then they started taking pictures of my dog doing a shit and stuff like that. It was really weird.” The only thing stranger than a poop-picture-taking person is whomever is actually buying the pictures. But wherever there’s a strange need to be fulfilled there’s always someone making a living out of it. And Adele probably gets her fair share of publicity from this.
