To mark their 10th anniversary, Girls Aloud is reportedly planning a reunion of epic proportions to celebrate the milestone. It was originally the pop band’s hope to reunite during the Glastonbury next year, but as it turns out, the festival has been canceled since the Olympic Games are going to London. As a solution, the girls are playing at the Olympics. Their manager, Hilary Shaw, is currently at work to make the gig happen for them. If it does happen, Girls Aloud could potentially be playing alongside acts like Coldplay and The Rolling Stones. 10 years is something to celebrate so I really hope this happens.

Aging rocker Ronnie Wood was set to divorce his estranged wife Jo in London today.

The Rolling Stone will be granted a decree nisi in the High Court. Wood, 62, left Jo, 54, after 23 years of marriage when he met a Russian woman, Ekaterina Ivanova, 21.

Jo, meanwhile, fell off the rungs of Strictly Come Dancing. The UK Mirror reports she is likely to reap a divorce settlement to the tune of at least £5million ($8.4million).

Jo is an ex-model who lives in the family home in Kingston, Surrey. She launched herself on Strictly Come Dancing to give herself a boost, she has said. “It made me go out and do something for myself rather than him,” she said. “I really believe if you challenge yourself in life it makes you stronger.”

Wood meanwhile has had fiery episodes of squabbling with Ivanova reported in the press.

The guitarist recently admitted that he received an offer from the Rolling Stones to join them in 1974 when Mick Taylor quit, but he turned it down. Jeff Beck explained his decission: “I had this flash that said, ‘Don’t do it, you’ll never get on with Mick and Keith musically because you’re heading in a different direction.’ There’s the thing. There’s the crossroads. If I’d turned left I’d have been a multi-millionaire Rolling Stone – and dead. On the right I’m here, thank you. Not that I wouldn’t want to experience some of the things that went on with them but I was into speed and detail and gung-ho playing – and the way they were drinking I just don’t think it would have worked.” Well, talk about proof that rock and roll is not just about booze and women… there’s also music involved. Still, Jeff Beck would’ve probably added a lot of seriousness to the Rolling Stones had he joined… but that might’ve spoiled all of the fun.
