Filled in: Up and coming singer/songwriter Skylar Grey, known for her work with producer Alex Da Kid, has performed a beautiful acoustic rendition of Rihanna’s hit “Love the Way You Lie Part 2” that she wrote for the R&B singer’s “Loud” album. Skylar uploaded the footage of her performance to her YouTube account and shared it with the world recently. I am totally in love with this girl’s voice and I can’t wait for her to finally release her debut single later this year. Hopefully, an album will follow soon after that. Skylar is also part of Lollapalooza and it’s said that she will be debuting some new music on her set this August.

Even though all of the artists present did their best with their performances, or at least managed to leave that impression, it seems that this year’s American Music Awards didn’t manage to spike up the popularity. Actually, it seems that the ratings for yesterday’s show were 22% lower than those of last year’s. Even though Justin Bieber managed to spike things up a bit, that wasn’t enough to get this year’s American Music Awards at least to last year’s level. Oh well, maybe next year they’ll think of a better ruse to get people to watch it. Perhaps if they had brought in Lady GaGa too who also won an award it might have gone better.

But don’t get too excited, this doesn’t concern her plans to marry Matt Kemp and live happily ever-after… no, this is about Rihanna’s choice of clothing for Katy Perry’s wedding which seems to be pretty big news. This is the big reveal that the singer recently made: “I’m going to wear Stella McCartney and Topshop, of course!” Right… well, hopefully she’s already cleared that up with Lady GaGa and the bride to make sure it’s okay. We wouldn’t want Rihanna and Lady GaGa showing up at the wedding in the same outfit and then getting into a catfight… no matter how entertaining it would be.

How ungrateful is that? The poor woman helps her stay in shape and Rihanna doesn’t even pay her… and apparently the bill is pretty large: 26 000 dollars plus another three in travel expenses. Well, Rihanna’s personal trainer isn’t going to take it anymore so she’s suing her for the money… and maybe a little extra on the side for all of the trouble. And to think Rihanna took her personal trainer’s help so seriously: “I work out every day but I need a trainer to motivate me – I don’t find it much fun working out on my own.” For shame! That’s just really bad publicity right there.
