Hollywood actress Andie Macdowell has said she gets ‘embarrassed’ at taking her clothes off for a movie role.
The 51-year-old, who has previously starred in films such as St Elmo’s Fire and Four Weddings And A Funeral, admitted that she was shy at having to strip for new TV movies At Risk and The Front.
She told FOX News: “I play a real b***h. I was a narcissistic sex addict and had to sleep with young men. But it was embarrassing because I’m pretty shy and yet I had to look at myself in the mirror and take my clothes off.”
Andie added that it is easy for older women to fade into obscurity and said she hopes to work as long as she can.
She said: “We live in a society that sees getting older in a certain way, but I keep trying to tell myself of my value and my worth. I’m really comfortable with my age, I’m 51 and I have no shame whatsoever and I’m really comfortable in my skin.
“I may not be the lead or I may not get the starring roles that I used to because so many movies revolve around youth, but I refuse to go away because I enjoy it.”

Bosses at the Tate Modern in London could lose hundreds of thousands of pounds after they were forced to remove a naked image of Brooke Shields aged 10 from an exhibition.

The gallery was forced to replace the naked photo, called Spiritual America, after a number of complaints and a visit by the Met’s Obscene Publications Unit.
The photo was was replaced with a picture of Shields aged 40 in a bikini.
However, the museum has been left with 12,000 catalogues with the original photo in and there could be a backlash if they go on sale.
Some of the catalogues have already gone on sale with a sticker over the image but bosses still have 10,000 paperbacks costing £24.99 each and 2,000 hardbacks costing £35, which could mean £320,000 is lost.

Tara Reid will appear naked in Playboy magazine, according to reports.
The American Pie star has reportedly stripped off for a cover shoot for an upcoming issue of the men’s monthly.
Reid, 33, who was left with scars after a liposuction procedure went wrong, posed for Playboy at a private residence in Santa Monica, California.
A source said: “She was a bit insecure about her body when they first started. She looked great and finally got into the groove.”
Reid had previously said that she wouldn’t pose for Playboy because of scars on her stomach. She said: “I know there are problems with my stomach. There are bumps on it, it’s uneven, but it’s not that bad. My stomach scars are my battle wounds.”
