Former Cardinals bassist Chris Feinstein has reportedly died at the young age of 42. No details of the musician’s cause of death have been released at this time but the band’s website has put up a message saying “It is with great sadness to report that Cardinals bassist/vocalist/collaborator Chris Feinstein (Spacewolf) has recently passed away. He was an integral member of Ryan Adams & The Cardinals and will be deeply missed by all of us here at Lost Highway and throughout the entire music community.” I send my condolences out to all of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
Simon Cowell is said to earn $250,000 an hour despite the fact he has the ‘attention span of a gnat’.
The 50-year-old music mogul can’t concentrate on anything for too long, but is a great businessman, according to one of his oldest friends.
Mark Hoffman, 36, a property developer who runs Commercial Property Investments with Simon’s brother Nicholas, told UK newspaper the Daily Star: “I’ve known him since before his TV days. Simon is fabulous. He doesn’t pretend to be an expert in things that he’s not.
“He has the attention span of a gnat, so trying to get him to make any decisions can be quite difficult. Simon has got very good advisers around him and they are very protective of him.
“He is a stickler for detail. I guess that’s the mark of a good businessman.”

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue’s boyfriend wants to marry the star.
Rugby league player Kris Smith, who has reportedly already bought a ring, told British newspaper The Daily Star: “I would definitely pull out all the stops and get down on one knee.”
Minogue, 37, seems smitten with the 29-year-old, who she met in Ibiza over a year ago.
She said: “I know he’s The One. That’s all I can say – he is The One. I adore my boyfriend. I guess at my age I have to start thinking about babies at some time.
The sister of superstar singer Kylie added: “To be honest, I’m just enjoying being so wildly in love and being so happy. I think I’m looking at nesting this year… know what I mean?”
In a recent interview, Radiohead front man Thom Yorke shared that there may not be another full length album from the band for quite awhile because ‘In Rainbows’ left them creatively exhausted. The singer said “None of us want to go into that creative hoo-ha of a long-play record again. Not straight off. I mean, it’s just become a real drag. It worked with In Rainbows, because we had a real fixed idea about where we were going. But we’ve all said that we can’t possibly dive into that again. It’ll kill us. I mean, obviously there’s something still great about the album. It’s just, for us, right now, we need to get away from it a bit.”
The Blur bassist apparently started a dairy farm back in 2003 when the group went on hiatus and now that they’re back together, Alex James and his bandmates are enjoying reaping the fruit of the dairy farm. Graham Coxon, Blur’s guitarist, said the following about Alex James’ cheese: “I have gorged upon his Blue Monday cheese, late at night. It was good with honey all over it. That’s when I discovered that it had psychedelic qualities.” Ah, so now we see where Blur’s inspiration comes from lately. Maybe they’ll even write a few songs in homage to their new source of inspiration.
The singer recently admitted that he gave up alcohol completely due to a series of embarassing experiences of which he had no memory. Calvin Harris related: “It was a series of events where I realised it was getting embarrassing. When I saw myself on T4 On The Beach in 2007 it was extraordinary. Usually I can remember things if I’ve been drinking, but I couldn’t remember being there. I was just watching and thinking, ‘Who is this guy?’ It sounded amazingly out of tune and I dived into the crowd. I get a lot more done now that I don’t drink – I get up early and do stuff.” Right, like walk the dog, read the mail… stuff like that. Still, when it begins to affect the work, it’s time to consider other options. But when it affects image… then it’s time to say no. Calvin Harris really made a wise choice here!
