Kristin Cavallari and ex-fiance Jay Cutler return their wedding gifts

Former Hills star Kristin Cavallari and her ex-fiance Jay Cutler have returned their wedding gifts. The gesture serves as confirmation that the pair, who began dating last September, have called off their three-month engagement. Kristin, 24, and the Chicago Bears quarterback registered for several luxury bakeware and kitchen items before they broke up, and have now handed the presents back to their would-be wedding guests. A letter obtained by Deadspin reads: “You are probably aware that our engagement was recently broken off. “Because of this, we have returned your gift and you should receive a refund on your credit card. The kindness of your gift is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for thinking of us!” Items included bakeware such as $50 Williams-Sonoma mixing bowls. Cavallari was reportedly ‘devastated’ by her split with Cutler.

Kristin Cavallari was trying on wedding dresses for a magazine shoot just days before her split was revealed. The star was talking about her excitement at being engaged to Jay Cutler in the shoot for Life & Style magazine but shortly after it was announced that Cutler had ended their engagement. During the shoot, she said to Life & Style: “I want a romantic, mystical wedding, with lots of flowers.” Cutler asked her to fly back to Chicago with him shortly afterwards. A source said: “Kristin said she didn’t want to because she’s working on a new TV project and had a full day of shooting scheduled for Tuesday [July 26]. But Jay was angry about it and the argument escalated. “He told her that she needed to commit to him, and to move to Chicago. When it became clear that Kristin had no intention of giving up her career in entertainment, Jay broke up with her – returning to Chicago alone on July 23.”

Lady Gaga has the highest number of nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards, 13, setting a record for the most nominated artist in one season. On the second place in the top nominations in this year stood Eminem, selected for eight categories of awards. Justin Bieber, 16 years old, received his first VMA Award nomination for the video “Baby.” Ke $ ha newcomer joined veterans like Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Usher and indie band Florence and the Machine, among the nominees.

It seems that Lindsay Lohan doesn’t soon forget the insults brought to her… or perhaps the fact that she’s off the drinks for a while now has helped her memory. Either way, the multi-talented artist has recently been invited to the MTV Movie Awards, but when she found out that she was seated next to Dr. Drew she immediately demanded that her seat be moved elsewhere. It would appear that Lindsay Lohan has not forgotten the comments that Dr. Drew made about her drug problems and the way she’s dealing with them. Maybe there will be a time for vengeance at some point too, who knows what brews in Lindsay Lohan’s dark, sober mind?

Sandra Bullock will attend MTV Movie Awards

Actress Sandra Bullock has reportedly “had enough of hiding” and will attend the MTV Movie Awards.

Bullock, 45, last made an appearance at a public event at the Oscars in February and has been staying out of the limelight since news of her husband’s infidelities came to light.

She is set to appear at the MTV Movie Awards on June 6 in Los Angeles to pick up an award.

A source close to the star said to PopEater: “Sandra has had enough of hiding in the shadows while [husband] Jesse has the nerve to sit down on national TV and tell his side of the story.

“She has nothing to be ashamed about and plans to hold her head up high when she attends the awards to accept an MTV honour for entertaining generations of the network’s audiences over the past two decades.”

The All-American Rejects got busy in New York City this week starting off with a special performance of their hit single “Gives You Hell.”
They took the stage with house band Wale at MTV’s VMAs show where front man Tyson Ritter debuted a new glittery look. After rocking the proverbial house, Ritter caught up with MTV news

The rapper’s hotel room was reportedly ransacked while he was attending the MTV Movie Awards and getting intimate contact from Bruno. It seems that Eminem is missing a host of items, including a sixty thousand dollar diamond necklace. The question, or rather questions that arise now are the following: what use does Eminem have for a diamond necklace? It’s not like you see him wearing one very often… and furthermore, was this part of the whole set-up with Sacha Baron Cohen… or is this also part of the stuff that didn’t make it in the rehearsals?
