Breaking Dawn star Nikki Reed has revealed that her fiancé Paul McDonald is “taking control” of their wedding preparations. The 23-year-old actress, who plays Rosalie Hale in the vampire film series, announced her engagement in June after the American Idol finalist popped the question. Speaking about their wedding plans, Reed told MTV News: “He’s doing a lot of it, he is. He’s, like, taking control. He sits with his computer in between songs and is kind of on a roll with everything.” The former OC star was speaking at Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards, which she attended alone as McDonald was away with his group The Grand Magnolias. She said: “Paul’s on my nails. I put Paul on each one of my nails, and that’s his band, The Grand Magnolias. That’s their logo because he can’t be here, and I said I’d take him with me.”

Actor Orlando Bloom said he wants to play more bad guys after his role in The Three Musketeers. The 34-year-old star takes on the role of the Duke of Buckingham in the new flick and he stars in the film along with Milla Jovovich, Logan Lerman and Christoph Waltz. He admitted that he enjoyed playing a baddie in the film and also in his other new film, The Good Doctor, where he plays a doctor who messes with his patient’s treatment because he fancies her. According to UK newspaper Daily Record, he said: “Bad guys definitely have the fun and I want to do more of that. “The Duke of Buckingham is more of a petulant child than a swashbuckler but it was a lot of fun as it was a really different kind of a character to play. “The Good Doctor is a bit of a departure, too. I’m stepping out of what people might imagine me to be and it’s challenging as it’s a really dark little movie. “You wouldn’t want to go and see him. But it’s interesting as it’s a real character-driven piece, very much about the human condition.”

Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield has revealed comics about the superhero saved his life. The British actor said he wanted to play the lead role in new movie The Amazing Spider-Man because as a kid the stories gave him something to aspire to. Talking to Us Magazine, the 27-year-old said: “He saved my life. I needed Spider-Man in my life as a kid and he gave me hope. He was living mine and every skinny boy’s fantasy.” And he said he hopes he can do justice to the role. “I’m approaching this like its Shakespeare or modern myths,” Garfield said. “We still want to see these stories, we still want to see these characters. It’s another chapter in a comic book story that means so much to so many people.” His co-star and rumoured girlfriend Emma Stone, 22, added she has brought her own touches to her character Gwen Stacy. “I can’t play a character without making it my own a little bit,” she said. “So hopefully it’s all right that I’m playing her.”

Kristen Stewart has revealed that security was so tight on the Twilight Breaking Dawn wedding scene shoot that it was almost as if the Secret Service had planned it. The actress marries her on-screen beau Edward Cullen, played by her real-life man Robert Pattinson, in the final installment of the vampire saga, due out later this year. And she has revealed that trying to keep the dress under wraps was like a military operation. “The wedding was filmed Secret Service style insane,” she told People magazine. “The crew was completely inconvenienced. There was no cell phone or email. I said thank you so much because if this dress gets on the Internet, I’ll die! “I had to be locked into the dress to protect it.” And she admitted that she was just as jittery on the day as she would have been for the real thing. “When I got to set I was as nervous and terrified as I expected myself to be,” she said. “It was beautiful.”

Actress Emma Stone is looking forward to seeing more footage of the new Spider-Man movie. The US star is playing Gwen Stacy in the film opposite Andrew Garfield and said she’s excited to see clips of the film. She said to MTV News: “I think they’re going to be showing a little footage from the movie at Comic-Con. I have not seen that yet. “I’ve seen the trailer, which I believe comes out [in front of] Captain America. I thought it was pretty cool, but maybe I’m a little bit biased, contractually. “I’m pretty excited about it. We’ll see how people respond to it.”

Harry Potter star Emma Watson is being tipped to headline a new Beauty and the Beast adaptation. The British actress has recently been promoting her new movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two, and it’s claimed she has a new role lined up already. Producer Denise Di Novi recently told ComingSoon.net at a film junket that she is working on a new adaptation of Beauty and the Beast with Guillermo del Toro and Watson is set to play the lead. Watson will next be seen in movies My Week With Marilyn and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

The final Harry Potter movie performed magic at the weekend shattering box office records. The last ever chapter of the hit boy wizard movies Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 took in a record breaking $168.6m in the US and Canada and a staggering $476m worldwide. That meant the movie overtook the previous three-day record of $158.4m set by the 2008 Batman movie The Dark Knight. The $307m overseas record beat the $260m mark set by Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in May.

Olivia Wilde believes that she has become a better actress since filing for divorce. The 27-year-old House star split with her husband of eight years, Tao Ruspoli, last year and started divorce proceedings in March. And while she admitted that the break-up left her shaken, she said it has had a positive impact on certain areas of her life. “The trauma of the whole thing has been humbling, and for the first time, I’m a little bit wobbly,” she told Marie Claire. “I kept saying, ‘I failed!’ Admitting that I’m not perfect was a wonderful thing that came out of this. There’s this fear that everyone is going to be disappointed in you, but I’m human. I don’t live up to any sort of ideal. “It makes you a more empathetic person, and I think it’s made me a better actress. “Weakness is something we don’t like to admit we have. We hold it against people, until we experience it, and then we feel more compassion for it. “David Shore, who created House, said, ‘You should get divorced every year; your acting’s never been better.’”

Daniel Craig has admitted that he was so shocked seeing violent scenes in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo that he was left open-mouthed asking: “Are you f***ing serious?” The star – who recently stunned friends by secretly marrying Rachel Weisz – insists movie fans are in for a shock with the violence and adult material in the eagerly-awaited blockbuster. “It’s as adult as you can possibly make it,” Craig warns. “This is adult drama. I grew up, as we f***ing all did, watching The Godfather and that, movies that were made for adults. “And this is a $100 million R-rated movie. Nobody makes those anymore.” He also insists that David Fincher, who is directing the movie adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s best selling thriller, is ‘not holding back’. “They’ve given him free rein,” he said. “He recently showed me some scenes, and my hand was over my mouth, going, ‘Are you f***ing serious?’” “It’s not that he simply showed me footage that was horribly graphic – it was stuff that was happening, or had happened. And somehow you don’t see it. There’s more than one way to sense violence. Much more powerful ways than seeing it step-by-step.”

Actor Shia LaBeouf has revealed that he turned down leading parts in hit films 127 Hours and The Social Network. The Transformers star also walked away from talks to feature in future blockbusters The Bourne Legacy and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The 25-year-old told Details magazine: “I’m looking for Warren Beatty-type game changers.”  By turning down Danny Boyle’s intense survival thriller and David Fincher’s Facebook movie, Shia has missed out on three Oscars and seven Golden Globes.
