Miley recently had this to say about her boyfriend Justin Gaston:
“I’ve never been closer to the Lord since I met him. He’s really made me read my Bible. He’s made me actually read the stories in the Bible — not the quick little verses — that not only help me, but show you how to help other people.”
So many people, like Miley, read a few verses now and then. Maybe Gaston has her reading entire chapters or books… and then they discuss them together. I have been lectured many times by people who it turns out have read way less of the Bible than I have.
In any case, hopefully when they are having their bible study sessions, he is doing them with his shirt on.
Miley Cyrus‘ fans have been debating whether her emotional and weepy acceptance speech for winning Favourite Female Singer at the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday (March 28) was real or fake, she told her side to set the rumours straight to MTV.
Miley shared:
“I was a little embarrassed. But then again, I shouldn’t be! It meant something to me, because it’s from the kids, and the kids are more important than anything else in the world. So it made me happy.”
She goes on to say:
“Honestly, I didn’t think I was going to win it,” she remembered of her thoughts at the time. “It just made my day that I did. It means a lot to me. [And] it’s voted on by the kids, which I like. It’s just a cool award. I don’t know of any other award that is like that. It’s a very unique award.”
Maybe her mindset is different now that she’s a little bit older. She’s received so much negative press lately, hopefully she is growing up and maturing by learning to appreciate her loyal fans more.
I don’t see how anyone could think those tears were fake.
Chris Brown who has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats following his alleged assault of Rihanna last month is the topic of more gossip.
The latest word is that it was Natasha Ellie who sent the three-page text message the one initially reported to be from someone who Chris “had a previous sexual relationship with.” When Rihanna checked his phone, that’s what started the argument during which Chris allegedly punched, bit and choked her until she was unconscious.
A source said:
“Rihanna has been having problems with this girl for a longtime. Rihanna even reached out to Natasha, but she denied everything. Have you heard the song ‘Emergency Room’ by Rihanna? In the lyrics she mentions finding Natasha’s number in Chris’ jeans. Rihanna didn’t write the song, but she met with the songwriter and told her how she felt and what she was going
though and they came up with it.”
‘Emergency Room’ includes the lyrics:
“I was pickin’ up your clothes in the
closet/ I was bout’ to throw your jeans in the washer/ ‘Til I saw a piece of

Natasha lives in L.A. She has worked as a runway model and also
starred in several R’n'B videos, for artists including R. Kelly and Akon.
Natasha’s rep has denied the model had a relationship with Chris, but did confirm they met in Miami two years ago.
David Archuleta, the former AI contestant updated his MySpace to tell all his fans about his weekend:
“I’m reporting from Florida today, and I’m having a grand time in my birth state haha. Last Saturday, both Mr. Cook [David Cook] and I got to perform at a corporate event for Primesource in Hollywood, Florida (Where I used to live!) I was nervous before I went on stage because it was the first time I’d done a set that long since my vocal chord paralysis issues a few years ago. I was hardly able to do one song after that happened, and so I was even nervous with the tour when I did four songs, just because I wasn’t sure if my voice would be able to handle it. But I did 10 songs for the corporate event, and my voice was fine!

Ashlee Simspson wrote this on her blog after reading all of the negative publicity her older sister Jessica has been getting regarding her current weight:
“I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure as a headline on Fox News.
All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard.
Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend? I seriously doubt it. How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?

Kanye took to his blog to blast the rumour going around the internet that he was planning a career move to porn.
Yesterday, some anonymous poster on the website AllHipHop.com started a thread containing what he claimed were quotes from an interview Kanye did with “writer David Watts”.
It didn’t take long for several adult websites to roll with it yesterday some of whom were AVN; Hush Hush Entertainment. Apparently, the producers of the popular “Blackzilla” line, even issued a press release to offer West a starring role in their flagship line.
The AllHipHop.com hater messed up though when he attributed Kanye’s quotes to a magazine which never had any such interview with Kanye nor did they have a writer by the name of “David Watts”.
Kanye’s people today confirmed the rumors are fake, and the AllHipHop thread was yanked from the site.
AVN ran the Kanye story after its appearance on other adult sites, and now regrets the error. Hush Hush has issued a retraction regarding the phony magazine source, but says its offer to Kanye still stands.
Leona Lewis has a brand new blog and she made an entry to fill her fans in on what’s been happening with her lately. Here’s what she had to say:
“Hey guys, Happy Christmas, I hope you all had a nice time. I ate far too much, played lots of board games and watched old movies, it was brilliant!

She seems sweet and genuine. A down to earth kind of girl… which is nice!
Kanye West is seen here at the Chanel store, supposedly to return some of his Christmas gifts that were not to his liking.
Word is he is not an easy person to shop for. Last year after the holidays he also returned a pile of clothes to Barneys in Beverly Hills and was not happy when they told him he had to return each item separately to the department it came from.
He wants to design clothes for US President-elect Barack Obama:
“I could design something for Obama to go to the club in. But I don’t know if I’m ready for suits and stuff,” The Sun quoted Kanye, as saying. “Fashion is just my love. It’s something that I want to do for the rest of my life. I picked my own outfit out in kindergarten,” he added.
Meanwhile, his New Year resolution is to be nice to the hounding paparazzi.
Brian Litrell from the Backstreet Boys told his fans over the weekend that his young son Baylee was sick and had been hospitalized. He had asked for prayers, but had not given the reason for the child’s illness at that time.
Baylee Litrell was released from the hospital this past Saturday, and Brian and his wife have now spoken up about his illness.

Update on Baylee
On Saturday December 20, 2008, Baylee T W Littrell was released from Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
Before being admitted Baylee had been treated for or thought to have had strep throat, hand, foot, mouth disease and erythema multiforme. After receiving a biopsy, blood tests, an EKG and 2 echocardiograms, Baylee was finally diagnosed with A-Typical Kawasaki Disease. We would like to stress A-Typical because Baylee did not have text book symptoms of any of the viruses they thought he had.
Kawasaki Disease causes inflammation in the coronary arteries as well as the walls of the small and medium sized arteries throughout the body. Unfortunately, Baylee’s coronary arteries were affected. He received an IVIG, which is a treatment to bring down the inflammation in his coronary arteries. Baylee will be closely monitored for the next 6-8 weeks by a Pediatric Cardiologist to see if the treatment was effective.
We want to thank every one who prayed for us as well as all of the emails and phone calls. Your love and support means so much to our family. The Hospital Staff were absolutely amazing. They made an extremely difficult time in our lives as comfortable as possible.
We are humbled by the love and compassion that people have for our son all over the world, thank you!

I believe there is a high rate of recovery with treatment if it’s caught early, which it seems to have been. Hope he gets well soon.
“We’re friends – that’s it.” A Rod wants to put the rumors to rest that he and Madonna have been jetting around together, and hooking up at various resorts that are along her tour route. He told People:
“I can tell you this, I have never been on a plane with her.” Hmm I wonder if he meant “plane of existence”… You know how into Kabbalah she is and how interested in learning more about he has been (according to his ex-wife).
He went on to say:
“I’ve been to two [of her] concerts, yet I’ve read that I went to 20. I’ve also read that we were buying an apartment together. That is absolutely ridiculous and not true.”
A-Rod made it be known that they both are passionate for charity; she for Raising Malawi and he for the Boys and Girls club. He says:
“I have a lot of respect for her, she’s very committed to making the world a better place. She’s had an amazing career, and we’re friends. That’s it.”
