They also assert that they were forced to pay for breaks, spills, and “walkouts” on the job.

Jay Z has hundreds angry former employees that could be eligible to collect on the claims of lost wages if their case wins in court.

The source claims that a federal judge has admitted the club owners violated federal labour laws after reviewing an earnings report for at least two workers who showed they were not paid for overtime at the venue. The judge said, “The record contains corroborating evidence of the allegations.”

I have to admit the restaurant industry is terrible. I worked at a ‘high class’ Golf course restaurant and they would force you to sign a paper when they dismissed you early because the restaurant was slow. At the time it was illegal to pay an employee under four hours but this place would get you to sign that right away. I was so aggrevated by it I ended up quitting.

The thing was if you wouldn’t sign this paper they would force you to do boring and ridiculous things for the remainder of your four hours. Ie: use a /coffee filter to get all the fruit flies out of the liquor bottles, or go down and reorganize the cooler for no apparent reason. Most of the time the employees just signed and high tailed it out of there.

Amy has had quite the week what with passing out at home, being taken to hospital and diagnosed with emphysema yet she managed to muster up enough energy to visit the love of her life hubby, Blaaake Incarcerated in jail.

Here she was snapped by the paparazzi buying some little bottles of booze at the store.

So sad.

Hopefully having a few drinks to unwind with the wee bottles seen in this picture was not the reason she was a no show for the Nelson Mandela Birthday Photo shoot.

As she is still on the roster to perform at his party Friday night we’ll have to see if she actually does make it, and what kind of a performance she’ll give!

Supposedly, she has big plans for the concert:

Tommy told Rolling Stone, “Pamela and the kids have moved in with me. It’s awesome, man. It’s definitely working. You can tell on the kids’ faces — they’re happy when we’re together.”

Motley Crue have been busy in their studio rehearsing for the CrueFest Tour this summer. Wonder if the happy family will be going on the road with the band?

This is a classic example of ‘recycling Hollywood style’ ! For some reason, I’m happy for them and their two boys.

Lionel Richie was in Santa Monica to accept the “Icon” honor at last Sunday night’s taping of the TV Land Awards, when he received a different round of applause for being the dad of daughter Nicole.

“Forget about surviving 40 years in the music business,” he told the audience. “Just surviving 27 years of Nicole Richie has been a struggle-and-a-half, I want to tell you. I stand here as a survivor, I want you to know, for all the parents out there.”

Guess he is still recovering from all the nonsense his daughter put him through in 2007. Nicole served 82 minutes in jail after being convicted of DUI of drugs. She was arrested in December 2006 after witnesses reported seeing her Benz SUV driving down the wrong way on a freeway in Burbank, Calif.

Nicole, who became famous in her own right for her stint on Fox’s “The Simple Life” along with Paris Hilton, has been behaving herself ever since. Well sort of… she gave birth to her daughter Harlow with Joel Madden three months ago.

The sixth annual TV Land Awards are scheduled to air June 15 on the cable network.

Her spokesman Chris Goodman informed the AP that police have completed their investigation and no charges will be brought.
Last January a video surfaced that allegedly showed her smoking crack during a party at her home in north London.
After the video went public and still photos were published by the British tabloid The Sun, she checked into rehab.

Didn’t do her much good since police issued her a caution last month for assault after she allegedly slapped a guy during a night of partying. No charges were filed for that escapade either. Her luck is going to run out eventually, the girl needs help. ASAP.

50 Cent’s ex Shaniqua who also happens to be the mother of their ten year old son Marquis, has initiated court action stating that he’s trying to evict them from their Long Island New York home.

Her court papers were filed in Manhattan, and she alleges breach of contract, claiming he had promised to buy a $2.4 million Dix Hills house for her and their child, Marquis Jackson, but instead listed the house in his name only.

She lived with him for 4 years until their breakup in 2001. She had gone to court a few months back asking for an increase in child support payments, asking for $50,000 only to have the judge’s ruling in February lower the monthly amount down to $6,700.

Supposedly she and her extended family which includes a new lover, are all living in the Long Island house which 50 Cent is also paying for. The cheek of her, no wonder he wants them all out!

Despite his attorney arguing on his behalf, Chad Kroeger was convicted and will be sentenced May 1st.

 Kroeger’s lawyer, told the court  that when Canadian cops pulled him over in June, 2006 for speeding in his red Lamborghini Diablo, one of the officers asked him to blow in his face to see whether or not Chad had alcohol on his breath.

Chad was convicted. He’ll be sentenced May 1.  The man can afford to drive a lamborghini, why didn’t he just hire a cab, or a limo after he started drinking? A person is sober until he takes that first drink, and when they decide to take that sip, they should also decide to find a safe ride home.

Documents were filed Friday by her parents in an LA Court for a legal name change for her. The reason given for the name change was this: “Destiny Hope Cyrus has been commonly known as Miley Cyrus since she was a young child. The Change of Name is requested to make her commonly used name the same as her legal name.”

In other related Miley news.. she apparently has a cheeky fan! She was shopping at a mall in Los Angeles when she stopped for a bite to eat at Fuddruckers. This guy in the red shirt pictured here is an employee there and was so star struck he started blowing sunshine in an effort to impress her, didn’t skip a beat and promptly asked her for her digits.
Miley took HIS number instead and programmed it into her phone. .Something tells me she won’t be calling him, but maybe his boss will when he sees this photo. It’s not appropriate to hit on the customers!

The attorneys were back in court today but were unable to agree to terms for a custody agreement for Britney and KFed. She has a new lawyer, now named Stacy Phillips, since Trope & Trope withdrew themselves .
Apparently, KFed does want her to see their boys, but in a therapeutic environment which means with a therapist present.
It’s really a sad situation since it has only been telephone contact over the past month. The Commisioner ruled that the current custody agreement stays in place, since the lawyers on both sides couldn’t agree.

Lawyer John Eardley filed papers in a federal court last Thursday, inferring that the California courts have stepped on Britney by imposing a conservatorship.
He has told the press that Britney called him, but he’s being vague on the details of that call. Michael Sands, who used to be the spokesperson for K-Fed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is now the repping for Eardley. Coincidently, he also reps Sam Lutfi, who has a restraining order on him to stay away from Britney.

The lawyer John Eardley went on to say that Britney was not able to sign a retainer agreement because she is being “held hostage” in her own home. That seems unlikely since she has been photographed out and about shopping with her mother and father and going to the dance studio.

Since filing the papers in a federal court, Eardley has effectively stopped the California courts from issuing more orders in the conservatorship case until a federal judge decides if his filing has any merit.
