Filled in: It looks like the famed couple have become pretty bored with their house in Los Angeles where they have been living on and off for the past two years and so Katy Perry and Russell Brand have decided that it would be time to sell the old thing. The house is going to be sold for the modest sum of $3.395 million and Katy Perry and Russell Brand are planning on making their New York apartment their new home. But this is going to happen after Russell Brand finishes shooting his new movie in Miami and Katy Perry gets back from New Zealand where she is currently touring. It would appear that distance might just be a good factor in making a marriage work.

As of this week, Katy Perry has etched her name harder into music history as she is now the first artist ever in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to remain in the top 10 for a full year. That means that ever since “California Girls” dropped a year ago, the pop singer hasn’t once not had a song in the top 10. Wow! In other related news, “ET” has reached its 3 million mark in digital sales, making it Katy’s sixth song to reach the same level. She is the first artist in digital history to have six songs sell over 3 million copies. That’s truly amazing! Congratulations Katie!

The singer has recently revealed her number one priority and that apparently happens to be her husband Russell Brand. This is what Katy Perry had to say on the matter: “My husband is my number one priority. We have an amazing relationship. It’s important that I’m not always rushing around everywhere too much. I have to take the time to live life and have experiences.” Katy Perry’s marriage seems to be working pretty well… at least from her point of view. But they’re still a pretty long way away from going gold… at least they managed to get a good start on the whole thing.

The soon-to-be Ms. Brand recently admitted that she most likely married her celebrity crush. This is what Katy Perry said about marrying Russell Brand: “I’ve said Justin Bieber was my celebrity crush quite a few times, but I think I’m over it now. I think it’s probably safe to say I married my celebrity crush.” Well marrying Justin Bieber was certainly out of the question… but some lucky girl might get that opportunity one day. Katy Perry probably made the better choice anyway: the more experienced man. Justin Bieber’s youth probably shows a lot through the experience. Katy Perry might have regretted it.

It seems that the singer will not be known as Katy Perry for much longer as she is planning to take on the surname of “Brand”. When asked about the matter, this is what Katy Perry had to say: “I am, actually. When people try to get my attention, like if I’m at an event or something like that, and they want special attention, they go, ‘Mrs. Brand!’ And I go shwoosh!” This is going to be big… can anyone imagine albums with “Katy Brand” on the cover? On the other hand, Russell Brand is probably pretty hyped about all of this… the starting of the family begins from this point on.

It looks like the singer has reached the conclusion that she has allowed her new husband, Russell Brand, to wear the pants in the family long enough so she has snatched them away from him. In a recent interview, this is what Katy Perry’s husband related about his married life: “The other day, I put a shirt on and she went, ‘You’re not wearing that shirt are you?’ I thought, ‘That’s actually happening? That’s a thing off a sitcom.’ That happened in my actual life. I wasn’t allowed to wear it.” This is one of those moments that foretell the fact that Katy Perry and Russell Brand are kind of getting out of the fairy-tale phase of the marriage.

But don’t get too excited, this doesn’t concern her plans to marry Matt Kemp and live happily ever-after… no, this is about Rihanna’s choice of clothing for Katy Perry’s wedding which seems to be pretty big news. This is the big reveal that the singer recently made: “I’m going to wear Stella McCartney and Topshop, of course!” Right… well, hopefully she’s already cleared that up with Lady GaGa and the bride to make sure it’s okay. We wouldn’t want Rihanna and Lady GaGa showing up at the wedding in the same outfit and then getting into a catfight… no matter how entertaining it would be.

And Russell Brand just lets her have her way all the time. This is what Katy Perry’s future husband had to say about her freedom within and without the marriage: “Katy does exactly what she likes. If I didn’t want her to do anything like strip off, I may as well argue with a cloud. Did you see those pictures of her naked? Great weren’t they? Even if I did want her to stop doing things like that when we are married it wouldn’t be my place.” Russell Brand either trusts Katy Perry more than he lets on or he’s not too keen on wearing any pants in their future family. But hey, if it’s a good, working relationship, what’s a pair of breeches between them?

Just what the world needs… Justin Biebers on a breeding schedule, but it does seem that Katy Perry and Russell Brand want to be pioneers in this new domain. The soon to be married couple apparently want a little Justin Bieber of their own, the man of the future family relates: “Me and my fiancee love him. We want our own Justin Bieber. We can’t have the actual one because he’s busy with his work. I understand he procreates by laying eggs in the sea and then we can fertilize these eggs and have our own Justin Biebers. We could grow Justin Bieber in a jar like sea monkeys.” There might be some Christian Conservatives who might not approve of Russell Brand’s sense of humor… hopefully Katy Perry’s parents are not among them and they would be very happy for her daughter to grow a Justin Bieber of her own.

Katy Perry recently talked about her fiancé, comedian Russell Brand to People magazine and the singer shared a very sweet thing. She said “Before him, I didn’t feel very beautiful without a ton of makeup on. When I have no makeup on, which is rare, he tells me I look like the most beautiful girl in the world.” That is so sweet! I know that pretty much every girl in the world wants to find a man that sees them that way and that treats them like a queen. Katy is very lucky to have found that with Russell. I know I was a bit skeptical about their relationship at first but I have feeling that they’re going to make it last.
