The singer apparently doesn’t hold the pop-rock trio in too much esteem especially after listening to their new song “Camp Rock 2” that Jason Mraz found to have a lot of similarities with his own “I’m Yours”. This is what he said about the Jonas Brothers and their new song: “I heard the song, and it was just a tremendous, tremendous horror of a tune. I noticed a few similarities in the melody, but it wasn’t enough to pick up the phone and argue with somebody about it. If anything, I just wanted my $1.29 back that I spent on iTunes.” Well, that’s pretty bluntly said, but the Jonas Brothers probably won’t give it too much attention since there will be no legal action taken and they get to keep Jason Mraz’s money… along with that of anyone else who gets their song.

Nick, Kevin and Joe will release their fourth album on June 15th.
Nick told Billboard.com:
“This album is taking steps. We’re trying to learn as much as we can, continuing to grow. [The album is] our journal in songs [about] all things we’ve gone through, personal experiences we get inspiration from. We’ve also been working on trying to use metaphors…to kind of mask a literal thing that happens to us.”
The Jonas Brothers are getting ready for their massive world tour this summer that will feature six stops in Canada: Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa.
The band had this to say about their Canadian tour dates which will be during June-August:
“We are so pumped actually to go to visit Canada, we love it up there,” said Joe Jonas, who said the band filmed “Camp Rock” just north of Toronto. “We had a great time up there. Overall, just Canada in general, we’re going to be hitting some cities we’ve never hit before. That’s going to be fun, and we’re really thrilled about that.”
They are looking forward to some Canadian sunshine:
“To travel in Canada, it’s just a beautiful time of year, so it should just be a lot of fun for the band.”
The tour will be “in-the-round” with an enormous 43-metre circular stage that has them in the center of the audience, as well as a circular water screen, which Kevin says will make the audience feel like they’re “in a whole other world when (they) enter the arena and see the stage.”
The brothers just added two more dates to their world tour:
– July 11 Allstate Arena Chicago, Ill.
– August 9 Staples Center Los Angeles, CA
The Jonas Brothers were on the receiving end of South Park razzing on last night’s episode on Comedy Central.
In the skit Kenny decides that taking his new girl to a Jonas Brothers concert might earn him a sweet spot in her heart, and in her bed. So bad! His hopes and dreams are dashed when purity rings are given out during the concert.

Kevin Jonas poses for the magazine that just honored him with spot in their 2008 Sexiest Men’s List. People Magazine had to do some convincing to reassure him that he was the chosen one out of the brothers.
He just celebrated his 21st birthday in Cabo San Lucas a couple of weeks ago with friends and family, talked a little about the confidence factor he claims he always had:
He shared, “I can walk into a room and make friends with anybody. That confidence level is something that I have.”
Check out People’s 2008 Sexiest Men issue — Zac Efron and Jesse McCartney also made the list. It is on sale now.
Taylor Swift’s “White Horse,” a track from her new album Fearless that was featured on the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy is doing great.
The soulful song will debut at #13 on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 singles chart this week, which will give her the 6th Top 20 debut of 2008 breaking the all-time Billlboard record for the number of Top 20 debuts in a calendar year by any artist!
The previous record was five Top 20 debuts this year and that was held by her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his brothers.
Taylor’s other five songs that made the Top 20 include “Change”, “Fearless”, “You’re Not Sorry”, “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story”.
Fearless also sold 592,304 units in its first week of sales (her last album sold 3.5 million).
In comparison, The Jonas Brothers sold over 525,000 units of their latest album, A Little Bit Longer (their last album sold 1.5 million).
Joe Jonas did a nasty thing when he dumped Taylor Swift during a 27-second phone call last month, and she’s now decided in her own “Fearless” way to publicly state that he cheated on her with 10,000 B.C. actress Camilla Belle.
“They’ve been together for months,” Taylor told OK!. “That’s why we broke up.”
I notice she says ‘That’s why WE broke up.” Poor thing, I guess it is still too painful to admit she was dumped by him. While there is NO easy way to break things off with someone, it’s sad he didn’t have the decency enough to do it in person, face to face… before he hooked up with someone else.
Joe who is 19, and Camilla who is 22, met and got to know each other when she starred in the brothers’ video “Lovebug.”
“We saw her in [10,000 B.C.] and, to be honest, we all fell in love with her,” Joe’s younger brother, Nick, has said. “We said why not have her in a music video?”
Just read this latest blog entry by Taylor Swift who was recently dumped (by phon) by her ex, Joe Jonas. At the end she says she’s just sitting around eating cool whip and trying to think of things to do with her time… kind of sad isn’t it? I also found it interesting that she was listening to Kelly Clarkson’s song called Low which is about someone doing something low. I wonder if she was thinking that his breaking up over the phone because his “people” told him it was what was best for his career being one of the lowest things to do. Then again, he is still a child and that is what children do. A man would have broken it off face to face.

AMA’s and life.
Hey guys!
I’m so excited, you got me nominated for an American Music Award this year!! I’m nominated in the “Favorite Female Country” category. Thank you so much for making that happen for me again this year!! It’ll be so cool to go to the AMA’s again. I’m performing, and I have so many ideas that we’re working out for the performance. And hey, I’ve never won an AMA before…….. Maybe this year? It’s completely up to you, because it’s fan-voted. (yesssss) I think you have to login and stuff to vote, but it would make me soo happy if you did.
This is the link: http://abc.go.com/amavote/index?pn=index&cateId=144475
In other news, I just got back from a 5 show run on the road. Now I’m sitting in my kitchen..on the counter. Eating cool whip. And trying to think of things to do with my free time. Other than talking to my cat and making playlists of sad songs. Sad songs are awesome, by the way. I’m also editing a new video, so expect that to be up here in a few days. Tomorrow I do more album media preparation/interviews/taped performances/blahblahblahh for album release week. Basically what you do around an album release is you start taping things way in advance, so they can air on TV when the album comes out. So we’ve been doing all of that for months. Then my best friend, Abigail, is coming in from college (she’s too far away. I’m trying to convince her this whole college thing needs to work around our friendship and not be so time consuming.) Then this weekend, we play in Nashville with Rascal Flatts. And every day, my album is closer to being OUT. Yesssss.
I love you so much for your comments. Thank you for saying nice things to me. You have no idea how much that really, really can make my day. You’re what makes me smile.

Check out the clip of The Jonas Brothers at Piazza Duomo (Cathedral Square) in Milan during a taping of MTV Italy’s Total Request Live on Sunday.
Joe and brothers Kevin and Nick sang their hit song “Burning Up” for their fans in Italy.
The Jonas Brothers also attended a private party for Italian JB fans sponsored by La Feltrinelli, Italia 1, Radio 105, and the Disney Channel.
In other related news… Nick Jonas recently revealed that he was adopted as an infant:
“For a long time, we kept this secret in our family, to support our image as a band of three brothers, but I have to tell the truth,” said Nick. “I don’t think it will hurt our image — if anything, it makes us stronger. We love our fans and we know they will support us no matter what.”
Nick was born to close family friends of Denise and Kevin, the other boys’ biological parents. Several months before Nick’s birth, the couple decided they wanted an abortion. But Kevin, a former pastor, “doesn’t believe in that,” Nick said. “So he and my mom offered to take me in. They’ve been awesome parents, nothing but supportive, and I couldn’t ask for anyone better.”
Nick previously shocked his fans back in 2005 when he announced at a concert that he had been diagnosed with Type I diabetes.
