Celebrities have found the paw-fect holiday spot – for their pets.
The Canyon Views Ranch resort in California is a five-star Disneyland styled home for dogs whose owners are shooting on location or out of town on vacation.
Sylvester Stallone, Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Lopez are said to be fans of the resort.
Complete with bone-shaped pools, hammocks and palm trees, the resort offers a low-stress alternative to a dog who is going to be missing its owner for often long periods of time.
Canyon View also offers a variety of terrain for walks: manicured lawns, fountains, waterfalls and paddling pools.
Doggie meals can be catered to the tastes of pets, while expert trainers can put them through their paces.
Prices at the Topanga Canyon resort just outside Los Angeles start at about £30 a night.
One of the associates said, “Everyone loves their dogs and when they go away they want their pets to have as good a time as they do.”
Jennifer Lopez and her friend actress Leah Remini, who stars on the TV show “King Of Queens had a girls day out shopping together at Frances Klein Classic Jewels on Saturday (March 14) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
They enjoyed the afternoon together, getting VIP treatment when the store temporary closed so that they could shop in peace and privacy without being disturbed by regular folks!
With the economy as it is, Jlo being followed around by paps while going on shopping sprees may seem to be extravagant. It’s been awhile since the public has seen pictures of her at some of the charities she lends her support to where she is actually doing something to promote their causes although she probably does her good deeds out of the celebrity spotlight.
Jennifer Lopez is pictured here walking into the Bowery Hotel in downtown NYC yesterday to have dinner with her manager Benny Medina. Seems she has done what she said she would and that was to take a year off with the babies and then get back to work. Many other celebs have stated they’ll take time off, but end up going back to work after just a couple of months.
She recently spoke to In Touch Magazine. When asked about Britney’s breakdown, Jennifer said:
“That was painful to watch.”
She went on to say:
“I understood the pressure she was going through, having been through a divorce, having money, having people depend on you. It will destroy you.”
Jennifer also revealed how she and her hubby Marc Anthony handle disagreements that come up during their marriage:
“If one of us has a complaint, the other one has to listen, no matter how difficult. We have to see if we care enough to change it and if we do care, then we have to change it.”
Yes it is true that the public pressure that celebs go through because of their fame can be difficult, but they have the wealth to help them cope. It needs to be said that non-celebrity people who don’t have the financial resources that stardom gives also face real pressure and difficulty. Many of them go through health problems, divorces, financial crisis and survive, they are not destroyed.

“Sunkissed Glow is a flowery, fruity and sensual scent with notes of orange blossom, waterlilies and passion flowers. It also has the scent of ember, musk and cashmerewood.”
The fragrance goes on sale at European stores in February 2009. So far, no U.S. release date.
Jennifer Lopez just admitted in a very revealing interview that she suffered ‘a kind of nervous breakdown’ seven years ago. It was just before she married her second husband, dancer/choreographer Cris Judd. Blaming overwork and stress, she refused medication, choosing to rest until she felt better.
She told website The Daily Beast that she ‘froze’ while filming Enough in 2001:
‘I was like – I don’t want to move. I don’t want to talk. I don’t want to do anything. I had a nervous breakdown. There were no signs leading up to it. You really don’t know what’s happening at first. I was going, what’s going on? It’s funny what tricks your mind plays on you. I just didn’t want people to think I was falling apart.’
She went on to talk about Scientology (her dad is a Scientologist for more than 20 years) and how people do not understand the religion:
‘I just wish that people wouldn’t judge it without knowing what it is,’ she said. Lopez added that she would be happy for her children to attend a Scientology school.
On her diva image:
‘Once you have a lot of success you become a target in many ways. I just think the whole diva thing is a misrepresentation of who I am. I worked really hard. I kept my focus on the right things. And still even with that they find stuff to pick on.’
JLo and her devoted hubby Marc arrived to a Dolce & Gabbana party in Milan in the style truly fitting the diva she is! They rode in on a horse drawn carriage. Actually, make that 4 horses and a golden carriage!
I had to take a second look to make sure… yes it is… she’s wearing a little veil. What happened to Jenny from the block?! I’ve noticed she has this same pose, same pout, same ‘look at me glaze- eyed expression’ on most of her pictures lately. What’s with him and the sunglasses at night? Does he think he’s cool?

Jennifer in a fabulous flowing gown is holding herself up between two huge pillars of the ancient Erechtheion, on the north side of the Acropolis.
She was in Greece for a single concert on Saturday, wearing three outfits for her performance, including a white Charleston-like dress, a black body-hugging outfit and a gold-coloured short dress with black knee-high boots.
Lopez sat down for an interview with Elle magazine for their October issue. She had lots to talk about as she looked back on the magical experience of becoming pregnant and the life-changing experience she wanted to fully enjoy. She made an important decision after she finished her concert tour with husband Marc Anthony last fall when she told him she needed him to step up and take over:
“I said, ‘I did the superwoman thing, I finished the tour – now I need you to take care of me,
“‘I love doing things for you; if I’m not cooking, then I’m picking out a shirt. But this is the first time in my life where I’m just going to be a little bit selfish,’” she told Anthony. “‘I don’t know if I’m going to have kids again, so I want it to be a beautiful experience. I don’t want to have any drama. I want to just be smiling every day.’”
JLo is currently in training for her first triathalon, told that neither of them worried during the four years of their marriage that she didn’t get pregnant:
“We knew nothing was wrong with either one of us – I had been checked, and he had kids already,” she told Elle. “I knew [that] something’s not ready here, in my head or in my life, and when it is, I know it’s going to happen.”
She describes the magical moment that she realized she was indeed pregnant:
“I was sitting down doing hair and makeup and I felt a flutter. The weirdest little … flourish. My makeup artist said ‘What’s the matter?’ I didn’t say anything, but in my head, I was like, I have life inside me!”
To commemorate the experience of being pregnant Lopez commissioned a special gift for her hubby– a book of photos of herself. She says:
“I was like, ‘How am I going to rock this moment of my life? … I felt very womanly. Marc was in a dream. He loved it.”
The babies are now 6 months old. Time sure has flown by! She seems happy and content and still in love with him… so he must be doing a fine job as husband and father. Good on him!
The source said, “Normally people who make huge sums of money and have loads of professional and social obligations hire a nanny for each child, especially for newborns. But it is as if Jennifer expects one nanny not only to take care of both twins, but to work 16-hour days, seven days a week!” Their first nanny only lasted ONE week.
JLo is having trouble finding a nanny for $2,250 a week. I guess if they are working 16hour days and 7 days a week. That is only about 20 bucks/hr with no overtime! (Although the salary is over 100k a year..) She would be better off to hire 2 maids doing 8hr shifts each… I think she would have a better shot at keeping them.
Her father, David Lopez, has announced that his daughter is having twins.:
“Yes, twins. The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it’s a hereditary thing,” the grandpa-to-be said in an interview on the show Escándalo TV (Telefutura). When asked how he felt about the big news, López expressed his happiness for his famous daughter. “I’m very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years,” he said.
Her due date is approaching any day now and, her dad says he already has gifts ready for the babies. “In Puerto Rico it’s custom to buy an azabache [black stone] bracelet for babies to protect them from the evil eye, it’s part of our culture,” he explained.
Mr. Lopez didn’t reveal the sex of the babies, which I’m sure she’s happy about since she kept her pregnancy hush for so long. I wonder how she feels about her daddy making such an official announcement? He must be a proud grandfather!
