Jennifer Aniston has announced she will host a benefit evening to raise funds for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The big-hearted Friends actress will organise an invite-only film screening to raise money for AmeriCares and its efforts in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
The screening of Oscar-nominated film The Last Station is to take place later this month, and will include a cocktail reception with the director following the movie.
Ticket prices for the charity event reportedly range from $100 per ticket to $50,000.
Aniston has already contributed to the relief effort answering phones at the all-star Hope For Haiti Now telethon.
She also reportedly donated $500,000 among various charities, including AmeriCares, Doctors Without Borders and Partners In Health.
Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie could come face to face – in a sexual harassment lawsuit against their agent.
Lawyers for a woman suing Todd Shemarya want to take testimonies from the trio as part of their attempt to stop her case being dismissed.
Heather Devlin, one of Shemarya’s former employees, claims he made vulgar jokes about celebrities at work and subjected her to a barrage of offensive sexual comments.
She has filed a sexual harassment and wrongful dismissal suit against the Hollywood agent and his company, Todd Shemarya Artists Inc.
Devlin’s representatives hope testimony from Aniston, her ex-husband Pitt and his current partner Jolie will back up their case.
Earlier this month Aniston was served with a subpoena asking her to testify in the court case as a third-party witness.
But Shemarya’s lawyers say the legal papers were not properly served to the Friends star and that she therefore should not have to testify.
Jennifer Aniston is to get her own TV talk show, according to reports. The former Friends star is said to have agreed to do a weekly show for Oprah Winfrey’s new US cable channel, OWN, when it launches next year.
“She is doing this for one reason only; she absolutely wants to do it,” a source close to the deal said.
A representative for Aniston, 40, was unavailable for comment.
Jennifer Aniston’s revolving door with John Mayer has led her back to him, according to fresh reports.
A source said: “He really got to her, and she’s hooked on him. She just can’t let go.” The pair were seen in New York about a month ago dining with Courtney Cox Arquette and her husband David.
Aniston, 40, the former Friends star whose movie career has recently taken off, is legendary for her romantic turmoil. She and Brad Pitt, once a Hollywood power couple, divorced in 2005 after he took up with Angelina Jolie.
Since then, she has been linked with a different heart-throb every other week.
After breaking it off with Mayer following this year’s Academy Awards, she is now said to be back with him. The relationship between the pair started in April 2008. They have split twice since.
Amid claims Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are about to end their relationship, Pitt has sought the counsel of his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston.
Pitt and Aniston held a secret meet-up at a New York hotel, the second such pow-wow in the city this year. A source told a US celeb magazine: “She arrived at his hotel suite a matter of hours after they had spoken. Brad was unloading his emotional baggage on Jen, which isn’t exactly fair considering their history.”
Pitt was staying at the Essex House Hotel next to Central Park. The source added: “She was quick to tell him she wanted no part in his breakup with Angelina.”
Aniston was said to be initially loath to meet with Pitt, who was in the US to sit on a green energy panel with former US president Bill Clinton. He was accompanied by his son, Maddox.
Pitt is said to have rallied his mother, Jane, to the cause and got her to persuade her former daughter-in-law to agree to the tete-a-tete. Aniston was said to be brutally honest, telling Pitt he was being selfish and had to figure things out. Later that day Brad flew back to France, where he shares a US$55.6 million chateau with Jolie and their six children.
Some reports have Pitt moving to Berlin. He has recently purchased bachelor digs in Los Angeles as an apparent respite from a family home the couple keeps there.
Actress Jennifer Aniston has recently burst into tears after a scene reminded her of ex Brad Pitt.
The He’s Just Not That Into You star, 40, was recently filming in New York and while in her trailer she told an assistant she was crying because something reminded her of Brad.
A source told The New York Post that Aniston said: “I need a moment. This scene reminds me of Brad and me.”
This unhappy scene happened while the former Friends star was filming for The Bounty with hunk Gerard Butler.
Jen married Brad, 45, back in 2000, but the pair divorced in 2005 and Pitt got involved with actress Angelina Jolie.
Aniston managed to put a smile back on her face while on set and emerged from her trailer.
The insider added: “While she enjoyed flirting with Gerard on set and put a brave face on every day, privately she is still very fragile.”
Jennifer Aniston’s new movie Love Happens has reportedly been her worst opening in years, after it took just $8.5m at the US box office on its opening weekend.
Despite the popularity of Aniston’s 2008 movie Marley & Me, her current flick failed to capture cinema-goers and scraped in at fourth place after being beaten by animated film Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs.
Referring to the former Friends star’s new film, The New York Times reported: “Ms Aniston’s role is underwritten to the point that her character barely takes shape.
“Once again, she inhabits the Hollywood stereotype of a lonely all-American gal waiting to be completed by a man. Here, her super-normality isn’t simply bland; it is empty and lifeless; there is no gleam in her eye.”
