A celeb-filled episode of Gossip Girl was the talk of US TV last night as Tyra Banks and Hilary Duff guest-starred on the popular teen show.

Duff plays a famous vampire show actress called Olivia Burke who ditches her celebrity lifestyle in favour of returning to college at NYU.

She meets Dan (Penn Badgley) when buying coffee and introduces herself as Kate to hide her real identity and he doesn’t recognise her.

He then tries to ask her out but she has a dilemma with telling him her identity and claims she isn’t the sort of woman he is looking for.

However, it is Banks who steals the show as Ursula, a spoiled, paranoid, tantrum-throwing star who needs the constant babysitting of her new publicist, Serena, played by Blake Lively.

Serena gets the job after telling Olivia how to escape from the paparazzi from a restaurant who are waiting outside for her.

Olivia’s publicist, impressed with Serena’s skill and know-how, calls her the Diva Whisperer.

She has to escort Ursulla to the premiere (she’s a co-star in Olivia’s movie and has the same publicist) and feels uncomfortable when she has to sit by and not tell Ursulla a scene of her performance has been cut from the film.

Against her boss’s wishes, she convinces Ursulla not to vent her fury about the edits to the press and by the end of the show, Serena gets fired but later rehired.

Hilary Duff wore this absolutely stunning Donna Karan dress at the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2009 fashion show in New York City during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Tent in Bryant Park today.

The fashion event is for a very important cause, raising awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women.

Hilary was a vision in red walking the red carpet strutting her stuff to her own hit song, “Beat Of My Heart”.

Hilary Duff was snapped by the paparazzi wearing a sexy bikini under an animal print cover-up and Chanel earrings, such a fashion diva! Her hockey player boyfriend Mike Comrie is vacationing with her in the Bahamas and by the looks of the couple smiling in this picture, both seem really happy together.

It was reported this past week by EW that she will make a cameo appearance in an upcoming episode of the CBS show Ghost Whisperer starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. She’s been cast to play a “beautiful woman of mystery”.

Hilary Duff will be starring in a new 30 minute legal drama/comedy show on NBC called Barely Legal.

The series is based on the real life story of Kathleen Holtz. She went to Cal State at 10 years old, then was accepted into UCLA Law School at 15. She graduated at 18 and passed the famously difficult California bar exam that same year, which was in 2007 to become that states youngest attorney.

Hilary will be playing attorney Holtz. Barely Legal is the brainchild of actor Rob Morrow, who will be the executive producer.

Hilary strutted out of the recording studio wearing some massive boots. Her hair looks really rough, almost as though she borrowed Brit’s weave. I guess she really worked up a sweat while singing her little heart out. I wonder if her next album will be a big hit. I think she still has a large fan base, that would buy her album.

Hilary Duff was out partying at Hyde last night. I am not of fan of her attire in this picture. The hat and the long necklaces aren’t my thing. Maybe she just didn’t have enough time to wash her hair before she went out so she just threw on a hat.  She was apparently just in New York visiting her cutie boyfriend Mike Comrie and then came back home for a night out.
