It looks like the singer isn’t going to neglect her parenting responsibilities when they finally come strutting along… even if that means sacrificing her musical career. This is what Katy Perry said on the matter: “My singing is really important to me, but when children come along they’ll be my main focus. I’d never put my career in front of my babies – it’d be a case of fitting jobs around them.” Russell Brand will probably be thrilled to hear this… especially since he is reportedly more into having children than Katy Perry. They might actually turn out to make a good team for this job.

Eddie Cibrian’s ex wife Brandi Glanville has called LeAnn Rimes a ‘bad’ parent. Glanville is angry at Rimes for not telling her that she took her son Mason, 7, to hospital last weekend. LeAnn, 28, tweeted on Saturday: “Flew home for 5 hrs to see Eddie [Cibrian] & the lil one’s and ended up in the ER! Everybody’s fine, just a minor kiddo accident. Boys will be boys!” And Brandi, 36, was shocked when she found out about the incident on Twitter. She told EOnline.com: “All I know is I didn’t get a phone call. “Poor choice, bad parenting.” Glanville eventually found out that Mason had split his chin. She said: “I don’t know how exactly it happened, but Mason told me LeAnn had oil on her hardwood floors and he fell. “Eddie didn’t bother to call me and I showed up to Mason’s soccer game that day only to get a text from Eddie afterwards saying Mason wouldn’t be playing since he was in the ER all morning.” A spokesperson for Rimes said it was just a minor slip and he is now fine. Actor Cibrian, 37, shares custody of his sons with Glanville after their eight-year marriage ended last year when it was revealed he was having an affair with LeAnn.

“Even though I have such a sweet tooth myself.”

She said: “You want sweets, ice-cream and cake to be a great treat and a celebration [for them].

“Something that is not every day, I think this makes them appreciate it when they do have it.”

But the Pretty Woman star revealed that she does not practise what she preaches.

Gladiator star Russell Crowe has admitted he gave up cigarettes when his son saw him have a sneaky smoke.

The 46-year-old actor revealed why he gave up the habit during a press conference where it was announced he would narrate a live production of Ben Hur.

He said he had smoked most of his life before giving up and now has no plans to have another cigarette.

According to Australia’s The Daily Telegraph, he said: “Do the maths – I have been smoking for 36 years, I would continuously lie to myself about how much I smoked.

“[I was] smoking 40 on an easy day, but on a day when I would be up at 4am and still up at midnight, then it was 60-plus and it just got to the point where my body was telling me I had to stop.

“The reality break was that my kids never saw me smoke and Charlie is a little older at six and is in that phase where he is sneaking up on me all the time.

“I was in my office… and I thought I heard my door open and I looked around and couldn’t see anything, so I had my cigarette.

“Later on I leant over to put my cigarette out and he was lying between the couch and the table and he very definitely saw me having a smoke. And that was my very last one.”

Katherine Heigl says juggling her career and being a mother is tough, but would like to adopt again.

The Killers star and her husband, musician Josh Kelley, are parents to baby Naleigh, adopted from South Korea last year.

Asked whether the couple would be adding to their family, Heigl said, according to the Daily Mail: “I hope so.”

On balancing acting and parenthood, the 31-year-old added: “I knew that I wanted to keep working, because I love what I do. But it was really hard to leave her and go to work so far away.”

The actress also opened up about how her mother, who adopted Heigl’s sister Meg from Korea, motivated her to consider the process.

“It’s so funny. My mum and I joke about it when people say, ‘You’re just doing it because it’s trendy.’

“My mum says, ‘Well, I’m trendier than everybody because I was doing it in the 1970s when I adopted your sister.’”

Kim Kardashian said it’s ‘fascinating’ that her sister Kourtney now weighs less than her after having a baby four months ago.

Kim, 29, told how her older sister Kourtney’s post-pregnancy diet has been working as she’s shed the pounds she put on while pregnant with son Mason, who was born in December.

She said to UsMagazine.com: “My sister weighs less than I do, and she just had a baby – so that’s kind of fascinating to me!”

Kourtney, 30, previously told how breastfeeding her son had helped her drop the pounds and her younger sister Khloe, 25, said she might take up that weight-loss tip.

She said: “If that’s all it takes, breastfeeding? Then someone breastfeed off me! I don’t care!”
