Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are engaged, according an Australian report.

It says Kerr’s mother, Therese, has given currency to rumours that the couple are getting hitched by first saying: “She may have some news for us when she gets home.”

Since her arrival back in her native Australia three weeks ago, the supermodel has spent time on local engagements as well as reportedly holidaying with her fella in the remote West Australian town of Broome.

Now, however, her mum has reportedly zipped her lip, giving substance to the rumour, reports a Sydney paper. It says the editor of women’s weekly Grazia believes “something has happened”.

“It’s totally up to them,” Therese reportedly added. She continued: “Whether it’s right or wrong, I’m not saying.”

Meanwhile, Miranda’s former playboy boyfriend Adrian Camilleri reportedly doubled over in the dock on Wednesday when he heard he was to serve nine months in jail for embezzling $A123,000 from a fund he managed.

Last week Camilleri was found guilty of using some of the money to fund his lavish lifestyle, including buying Kerr business-class flights to New York. The judge in the Sydney District Court, Colin Charteris, called him a “man of straw” who spent the money of others as if it were his own.
