Xtina seen here wearing Givenchy co-hosted a dinner along with Louis XIII Black Pearl Cognac in honor of Matthew Rolston’s new book “Beauty Light.” The event was held at the Wallis Annenberg Cultural Center in Beverly Hills California on November 10.

Rolston’s “Beauty Light” is a book of modern Hollywood photography featuring such celebrities as: Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Drew Barrymore and Salma Hayek.

Xtina’s new album, Keeps Getting’ Better – A Decade of Hits, is exclusively being sold at Target stores starting today. She told MTV news:

“It was really gratifying to see how much hard work I’ve put in over the last 10 years. When you’re in it, you just don’t realize as it accumulates how much you’ve done and how far you’ve come. I can’t believe it’s been a decade already. [On the album,] I wanted to include all the songs that I know I loved and that are crowd pleasers and real staples of my career thus far.”

Christina Aguilera wore a mod Pucci top and purple YSL platforms at the Africa Rising Festival in London on Tuesday night. Tonight’s show was the grand finale of the four series, which were already held in Abuja, Lagos and Washington DC (US).

The opening performance was by Nigeria’s rising star, Asa, who sang three songs: Fire on the Mountain, Bibanke and Jailer.

Tonight, she will perform at UK’s Royal Albert Hall for the ThisDay-sponsored event. Christina will be performing alongside Seal and Youssou N’Dour, the Senegalese legend. Also taking the stage will be former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell who said:

“As Secretary of State, I pushed for support for the continent. Aid quadrupled during my tenure. We supported the fight against HIV/AIDS with over $15 billion,” the former Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US military, who was the first African-American to hold the position, said. “However, big Africans must rise and take the responsibility for the development of the continent. They must end the wars. They must fight corruption.”

Models Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek and Tyson Beckford will stroll the catwalk wearing clothes from international designer House of Momo. Deola Sagoe, Chris Aire and Ozwald Boateng also showcased their designs.

Christina’s performance in Britain will be her first major performance since giving birth to her baby son Max. She’ll be the opening act for Thisday Africa Rising Festival and she intends to do what she does best, she says:

“It is important to show Max what mommy does. It is really important to me is that he is an individual and that’s why it is important for me to stay true to myself. If it happens to be raunchy so be it! It’s a matter of self expression to me”.

I just don’t see her singing “Dirty” the same way she used to… though if she does, it should be interesting.

Soul legend, Seal will also serenade the crowd with some of his best songs.

Jessica Alba’s Latest Ad

Here is Jessica Alba’s latest ad for Declare Yourself, a non-partisan, non-profit national voting initiative.   It is a shockingly provocative and compelling photo of her aimed at encouraging young adults to vote in the upcoming US presidential election.  She recently talked about her enthusiasm and passion for the campaign when she said:

“If you don’t register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself.”

She looks like a pathetic female version of Hannibal Lecter with frizzy hair.  For those of you who don’t know, the mask she is wearing is  known as “The Muzzler.” Her previous ad was this S&M styled one:

Jessica Alba Declare Yourself

“You Can Only Silence Yourself” … That’s the slogan. I have two similar slogans I say quite frequently: “Hush up” or when I’m ticked off… Shut the He** up!

Besides, if you had decided to silence yourself, why would you wear a Hannibal Lector mask and cry?

Does this motivate you to go register to vote now?

Vanessa November’s Cover Girl For Lucky Magazine

Vanessa Hudgens will be Lucky Magazine’s November’s cover girl. Here is her list of her must have essentials and from the looks of it, the girl is a shopping diva! Props to her that a style magazine credits her sense of fashion with so much credibility that they would publish her style tips!

Way to go Vanessa!

– “When I get the urge to shop–and it comes to spurts–I go to Planet Blue. I recently got a bunch of fun, beachy dresses there.”

– “You can invest in a Bottega Veneta bag and not need to buy another ever again. They last forever and never lose their appeal.”

– “A Mike & Chris leather hoodie is truly essential to my wardrobe. It’s not heavy or constricting, and it makes everything look cooler.”

– “I’ve been snatching up a ton of Indian and tribal prints lately. They’re sort of taking over my closet.”

– “Slouchy flat boots are a big obsession of mine. They’re practical and cute.”

Amy Winehouse Lego Figurine

Lego is going to launch a new series of celebrity figurines, and here is the Amy Winehouse one, isn’t it cute? I have to say that the plastic version of her beeutiful beehive, rosy pink cheeks and blemish free skin is quite the homage to her and how she used to look.

Madonna, Sir Cliff, Victoria and David Beckham, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their twins, (not sure about Shilo or the other siblings, I’m thinking probably not) the judges from X Factor and Alan Titchmarsh are some of the other celeb Lego characters.

Unfortunately, the mini-figurines will not be for sale to the public. They were created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the company’s mini-figurines.

Carrie And Dolphin Boy

Carrie Underwood has apparently expressed interest in Michael Phelps aka the Water God. The two have been texting back and forth and have set a first date. Michael is a bit ashamed of his eating habits and sent Carrie a txt “I’m not so sure you’d want to see me eat! It might not make a great first impression.”

Now if I am not mistaken Michael is not that good looking of a kid.  He has an awesome body and all, but I just wouldn’t classify him as a looker. I personally think Carrie Underwood is one of the hottest celebs out there. I was sure she would land herself the hottest babe in LA.

A source also said that Carrie is a little hesitant to start dating again. “Carrie needs someone who is going to stick by her. She was devastated when her relationship with Tony Romo broke. The last thing she needs is a relationship with another high-profile celebrity who’s going to end up loving and leaving her.”

She thinks she is smart, because she drink smart?

Sitting on top of bales of hay hawking a new beer doesn’t make country girl Jessica look intelligent. It makes her looks somewhat like an actress doing a promo ad for a porno with those pouting lips, peek a boo top and sleepy lidded come hither look she has going on. I just don’t know how anyone would care that Jessica thinks drinking beer is a smart choice!

The ads reads:

“I work out and take care of myself. But I also like a cold beer once in a while. That’s why I made the smart choice with a smart beer. Stampede Light, it’s beer plus.”

I wonder how successful this ad campaign will be? The plus is that it contains vitamins.   Will her fans be stampeding to buy?  No doubt she’s hoping they do as she has a 15% stake in it.

I’m not so sure this is a such a great career move for her as she’s always been such a good girl but what the heck do I know nor do I really care.
