Lindsay Lohan had a disappointment today when a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled her deposition in an ongoing lawsuit can be video-taped. Judge Michael Stern ruled that Raymundo Ortega, who is suing her for $200,000 in damages caused from an October 2005 car crash, can video-tape her deposition as part of his lawsuit against her.

Her attorneys tried to argue against the motion, claiming that a videotape would sell for thousands of dollars. Last month, Lindsay countersued Ortega, who has accused her of negligence and drinking when she hit his parked van in West Hollywood, California.

A trial date for both law suits is set for April 7 of 2008.

“Prison Break” star Lane Garrison was sentenced by a judge for a total of forty months in state prison for his DUIcrash that caused the death of 17-year-old Vahagn Setian.

Judge Elden Fox told Lane, “I think you are truly remorseful,” but the reason for sentencing was because “the public needs to know crimes like this need to be punished and, unfortunately, you have to be the messenger.” His sentence was based on Lane’s lack of prior criminal history, that he admitted responsibility, plead guilty and offered the families financial assistance.

Just before he was sentenced Lane who was very emotional, told the victims’ families he was “genuinely remorseful” and “sickened” by his behaviour that night.

He will get credit for 91 days he has already served. That, combined with California’s Work Time/Good Time early release program, means he will do about 20 months in a state prison.

He must also pay close to $300,000 to the Setian family and to the two girls who were in the car.

Looks like Lindsay is back to her regular old self, wandering around town with a Starbucks, and getting her picture taken! I wonder how long her filming for this new movie will be. It doesn’t seem like she is doing that much work yet, we haven’t gotten any ‘on set’ pictures but I will be sure to keep you updated.

Oh and if you haven’t heard the new movie she is shooting is called “Dare To Love Me” and I really don’t have any clue why people still dare to give her work!

Amy Winehouse and her hubby were arrested in Norway for being in posession of marijuana ! This girl was supposed to be in rehab, I thought she wasn’t allowed any drugs, and isn’t her hubby supposed to be supporting her! These charges landed her and the Mr. in separate overnight cells, along with a 500 euro fine.

I guess a lot of celebrities don’t feel weed is a drug just a glorified cigarette!

Pete Doherty just out of rehab after having spent about a month there is looking healthier. It looks to me as if he has put on a bit of weight, not much mind you. Speaking on BBC 6Music, Pete told DJ Steve Lamacq: “I’m healthy, physically, a bit wobbly.” He added: “I’m not sure about complete abstinence [from drugs]. But it’s a 12 step philosophy. It’s one day at a time I suppose.” He then went on to reveal about his therapy sessions while in rehab : “Apparently I’ve got loads of self-esteem issues,” he said, before joking: “I thought I was alright!”

Though he admits to only being allowed access to his guitar twice a week for one hour at a time, he has asked his friend Amy Winehouse to drop in and visit him in his Wiltshire bolthole for jamming sessions.

I’d love to hear a collab from the two of them if they ever got around to actually making music!

The Medical Board of California said in April it was investigating Eroshevich, who, according to documents, authorized all 11 prescription medications found in Smith’s hotel room the day she died. The medical board also began an inquiry to determine if there was any misconduct by Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, who reportedly prescribed methadone to Smith. Methadone is a popular narcotic painkiller that is used as part of drug addiction detoxification and maintenance programs. Methadone overdoses can cause shallow breathing and dangerous changes in heartbeat. Methadone was one of the substances found in the system of Smith’s 20-year-old son, Daniel, who died in September 2006 of an apparently accidental drug overdose.”

Oh and just so you are clear these are the drugs she was perscribed.

Dilaudid, Lorazepam, Soma, Prixge, and Methadone

Seems like a hefty prescription, you think one of them would have been plenty.  Seriously what doctor would allow someone to be totally drugged out all the time. I really think an investigation should be done. I know you are all probably sick of this soap opera but I thought I should keep you guys semi informed.

Here is the report of why Britney skipped her visit with the kids. I bet she was drugged out and didn’t want to take the test. I am sure if she wasn’t answering the intercom, KFed’s people would have called the cell phone to see where she was at. Seems a tad bit shady, but either way read the report.

Back in May he was quoted on the Parkinson chat show saying “We could sit here with any number of policemen and doctors and they would all tell you if everybody who had a dependence on alcohol changed their mind and had a dependence on weed, the world would be a much easier place to live in.” How… profound!
