Police and drug-enforcement officers have raided a Las Vegas pharmacy in the alleged hunt for evidence linking Dr Conrad Murray with the death of Michael Jackson.
Agents swooped on Applied Pharmacy Services this morning, armed with a search warrant and were reportedly looking for computer records and documents relating to prescriptions for controlled substances, written by Dr Murray for the King of Pop.
Information regarding drugs that may have been shipped to the music legend’s personal doctor was also being sought, according to TMZ.com.
It is reported that Murray, 55, who lived with Jackson and administered CPR as the music legend lay dying on his bed, may have obtained the powerful anesthetic propofol from the pharmacy.
The potentially deadly drug was allegedly administered to Jackson only hours before he died, on 25 June.
Jackson’s sudden death is being investigated as manslaughter and propofol, which he took to help him sleep, is the main focus.
Police from Los Angeles and Las Vegas, alongside agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency, served a sealed search warrant and a notice of inspection on the premises at around 9.20am this morning.
Agents were later spotted wheeling at least four cases from the building.
Murray, who lived in Las Vegas before moving in with Jackson, has been at the centre of the police probe from the beginning, but he has not been charged with any crimes and police have not called him a suspect.
The medic’s Las Vegas home and his doctor’s office in Houston, Texas, have already been searched.
Law enforcement documents from Michael Jackson’s 2005 molestation trial show the depth of the late singer’s drug dependency. According to an employee at the Neverland Ranch, the King of Pop was using aliases to get drugs as far back as 1993. Joey Jeszeck, who worked security, told Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies in 1993 that Michael would ask him “to go to a pharmacy and pick up his prescription for him.” He said that some prescriptions were in the name of other people. The documents also say that “Sometimes the pharmacy wouldn’t release Jackson’s medication to him since it was not in Jeszeck’s name. Jackson would then call the doctor and have the prescription changed into the name of the person he was sending to pick it up.”
Actor Michael Caine has lashed out at the drug culture in Britain and has said that it is because of drug addicts that the street crime scene has boiled out of control. Michael Caine starred in last year’s blockbuster Batman movie ‘The Dark Night.”
The legendary actor is currently filming for a project Harry Brown being shot in the grittier surroundings of London. He plays the role of an ex-marine who’s sick of the Drugs petty gangsters terrorizing his neighborhood. Caine himself grew on a hard London estate and believes that drugs are the root cause of the current violence on the streets in Britain.
Speaking to the British tabloid The Sun he says, “What you have now which you didn’t have when I was young is drugs. You had alcoholism, people getting p**sed, but you never had the drugs and that is a massive problem. But the
drug addicts today have to kill anybody – it doesn’t matter who – to get the money, so you get this incredible random violence. When I was young you fought the guy in the next street. But it wasn’t so vicious then. We fought with our fists. Now they fight with knives and guns.”
Times have changed and criminals have evolved a lot more but things have gone bad to worse and there is nothing like professional criminals, they have guns and fire randomly.
Amy Winehouse’s junkie, jailed hubby Blake wants a divorce since he has finally clued in she is over him.
Incarcerated Blake has asked his attorney, Henri Brandman, to write up the divorce papers and claim adultery. The photos of Amy snapped by the paps partying it up with 21-year-old hottie Josh Bowman who she met at a deluxe resort in St. Lucia must have sent him over the edge with jealousy… he’s been replaced with a clean pretty boy toy!
Amy just admitted in an interview with News Of The World that she’s “forgotten I’m even married” and that their “whole marriage was based on drug use.”
She says:
“He (Josh) couldn’t be more different from my husband, which is not a bad thing. Blake looks like me, a right mess. But Josh is all handsome and clean and that’s what I love about him… I’m just here on my own, happy and having a good time with Josh. I’ll deal with Blake when I get back. But our whole marriage was based on doing drugs.”
She’s so happy she’s doing cartwheels on the beach! It must be lurve!
Amy Winehouse’s estranged hubby, Blake Fielder-Civil is actually going back to jail after failing a drug test, so says the Sun. According to an article by the British tabloid, Blake somehow managed to go to the hospital where Amy is bedridden to tell her.
A source said:
“Blake did a runner. He turned up in hospital and hell broke loose — everyone was totally shocked.
“He was asking Amy to forgive him. As he was going back inside anyway he felt he didn’t have much to lose.”
He had been at Live Works rehab in Woking, Surrey, planned to hand himself in to police after an evening with her.
A source said:
“If he had stayed in prison last month rather than taking the rehab option he was set to be released at the end of this month. He’s blown it.”
Blaaake could end up jailed until early 2010 now that he’s blown his chance in rehab. This is too pathetic to even joke about. Hopefully being behind bars will lesson the chance that he’ll die from a drug overdose.
Lindsay got all dressed up in head-to-toe black. Love her fringed boots and black faux fur coat. At least this one won’t get her into any trouble. I’m still laughing over her last escapade where she mistakenly took that girl’s vintage fur last year and then was seen parading all over with it until the girl went public and accused her of stealing it.
This picture here was of the two love bugs leaving some hotel in NYC. I don’t understand why neither of them have bought a little apartment since they are both there so often. Either they can’t afford it, isn’t interested, or both like to play the diva and enjoy room service and all the perks that go with it!
In other Lindsay related news, she now has one less lawsuit to deal with.
Her former bodyguard settled a lawsuit he had filed against her for back wages. David Kim alleged Lindsay owed him more than $55,000 for doing such things as coordinating her security, and driving her and her friends to celebrity functions.
He had stated he was never paid, and actually had lost about $10,000 in wages for mileage, tipping valets and hiring extra security! I wonder why he lasted so long working ‘for her’ if he was getting shafted?
Lil Wayne is shown here holding up his Lyricist of the Year award during the BET Hip Hop Awards ‘08, this past Saturday in Atlanta. Ever the professional, he made sure he left in plenty of time to make the hearing for his weapons case in New York today.
A cop testified last month she boarded Lil Wayne’s bus after a concert because she smelled marijuana. She said that while on the bus she saw him try to hide a gun.
His defense attorney Stacey Richman wants the charges dismissed. She says police falsely claimed they smelled marijuana so they could illegally board the bus.
TMZ who had a staff member present in the court room reported an amusing snippet of detail:
” Our guy in the courtroom says everyone got an impromptu Marijuana 101 lesson in the process.
The Weez’s assistant was up on the stand today and under blunt questioning from the DA, explained in great detail how pot is “something we always have” on the tour bus. Wayne’s bud also said the star only smokes “dro” — which, as the assistant explained, is short for “hyDROponically grown” weed (i.e., the good s**t). The court was, we’re told, buzzing.
Not everyone was so stoked – our spy says Wayne sat, head in hands, watching his lawyer battle to get the case skunked.”

“At some point … I want to adopt a kid … A child in need or a newborn from another country. I’m not sure yet.”
I’m wondering if she is serious. I just don’t understand this baby trend going on in Hollywood that seems to be spilling over into the rest of America.
Could someone, anyone explain to Lindsay that she is not even 2 years past being coked out and crazy! She should wait at least 5 years before she starts thinking of adopting a child… if ever. With as messed-up a family as she has, and with her celebrity status, what kind of life is that for a child?
She doesn’t strike me as the motherly type… do they do criminal background checks on prospective adoptive parents?!
Suge Knight was arrested earlier today, this time in Las Vegas for assault with a deadly weapon, possession of controlled substances and domestic violence against his girlfriend.
He allegedly attacked his girlfriend that he’s been seeing for three years. She is saying he punched her in the back of the head while they were driving so she tried getting out of the car as well as grabbed the steering wheel in an attempt to try to cause an accident so someone would notice the trouble she was in and help her. Poor woman. She must have been terrified.
The car hit the curb, came to a stop, and she jumped out and ran. He chased her and caught her at the same time the cops arrived.
The police say they saw Suge kick her in the head and had a knife in his hand.
He just got knocked out by that guy a few weeks back, what is he trying to do… regain his street cred by beating on his woman? When is this repeat offender going to do some jail time?
Blake will be sentenced tomorrow, and he could receive up to 5 years in prison. Blake’s mom doesn’t want her boy going anywhere near Amy if he gets out.
She told the News Of World: “I’m absolutely dreading it because I don’t want him to go straight back to Amy. If he goes it could be a death sentence for the two of them. Blake thinks he’s going to be Amy’s saviour and has every intention to try to stop the drugs. But Amy is completely unstable. Blake is a recovering addict and he’s not strong enough to resist the temptation. If they are reunited, I know they will be back on drugs within days.”
Somehow I don’t think Blake is ‘recovering’ I am pretty sure he is still using in jail. Didn’t he overdose a few months ago?
