Ben Affleck ‘nervous about Xmas shopping’

Ben Affleck has admitted that he isn’t the most organised when it comes to doing his Christmas shopping. The 38-year-old actor, who has two daughters with wife Jennifer Garner, said he gets nervous about choosing the wrong thing, Showbiz Spy reported. He said, “I spend the whole time fretting and being nervous and hoping she likes that. And then I end up at, like, CVS on the 24th being, like, ‘Maybe she’d like a little Godzilla that goes around.” He added that compared to Jennifer, his shopping skills leave a lot to be desired. “It takes her as much energy and effort to buy, like, the 20 gifts we’re going to buy other people, as it does to buy her gift,” he said.

Susan Boyle’s upcoming second album is already poised to be 2010’s Christmas Number 1 in the UK and the singer hasn’t even recorded it yet. Amazon has already received 2 million requests over the past two week for her follow up album and it’s set to become the biggest album pre-order in the website’s history. A source said “We haven’t seen this before. It’s seven months ahead of the release and already people are putting in requests for pre-sales. It’s an incredible achievement already.” As for the YouTube sensation, she says that she’s “hoping to make it better and a bit extra special.”

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis reveals she loves Christmas because she gets to go home and spend time with her family.

The actress who plays Charlotte goes home to South Carolina to spend the holiday with her parents, and the thing she looks forward to the most is her mother Dorothy’s cooking.

She said: “Christmas is my favourite holiday. I’m an only child and my parents live in South Carolina, which is where I grew up. So I usually go home.

“We make our own stuff and we go to the nursery and get all fresh greens. My mom always has a baking list for us, which is fun.”

Kristin, 44, also plans to treat herself to her favourite chocolate over the festive period.

She added: “My weakness is M+Ms. These days, if I want some, I will have them. I went through periods when I said, ‘I can’t have this,’ or, ‘I can’t have that.’ But now I don’t deprive myself.”

Tori Spelling and her mother Candy look set to spend the holidays together after burying the hatchet.

“I’m really happy to say we’ve taken it to a place that I’ve always wanted to,” Candy said.

Candy, 64, said she had finally rekindled her relationship with Tori, 36, after several years of public feuding.

The mother and daughter have played out their rocky relationship in public since the death of Tori’s television mogul father Aaron in June 2006.

“We’re dealing with it privately,” Candy said. “We’re communicating.”

Spelling added that she hopes to spend Christmas with Tori, Tori’s hubby Dean McDermott and the couple’s children – Liam, 2, and Stella, 1.

Peter Facinelli argues with wife Jennie Garth every year over Christmas tree

New Moon star Peter Facinelli has admitted that he argues with wife Jennie Garth every year on whether to have a real or fake tree.

The 36-year-old star, who plays vampire Dr Carlisle Cullen in the hit Twilight Saga, said he has to come to an agreement with wife Jennie, 37, over the tree dispute.

He said: “My wife wants to do the fake tree because it’s easy, but I am so anti-fake trees.

“In one room, we do a nice fake tree, and in the other room, I get to have my tree with all the pine needles falling all over the place.”

He added that the real reason he likes to get a real tree for Christmas is that it means he gets to spend time with Jennie and their daughters Luca, 12, Lola, seven, and Fiona, three.

He said: “What’s fun is that I get to go and pick out the tree with the kids, and then it becomes an experience. Sometimes, I’ll hide behind the tree. I used to pretend I was the talking tree.

“The kids loved it. I would be like: ‘Hey, pick me – I am the best Christmas tree!’”

Pregnant star Kendra Wilkinson is getting her dogs ready for Christmas by dressing them up in Santa outfits.

The 24-year-old is set to become a mum for the first time next month as she is expecting a baby boy with husband Hank Baskett, 26.

She wrote on her blog: “I bought the dogs Christmas sweaters haha!! I dressed Rascal as Santa Claws and Martini as Mrs. Claws lolol.

“The dogs hated them but they looked soooo cute with them on! I know it’s a little early for Christmas stuff but when I saw these sweaters I just couldn’t help myself! I love the holidays.”
