It looks like the singer manages to be pretty subtle about what goes on behind the curtains during the show and how she supposedly frustrates her fellow judges and the rest of the people involved in making “The Voice”. After the show’s finale, Christina Aguilera actually sounded decent in her tweet about the show’s end: “This is IT!!! Congrats to all my fellow coaches and their teams for making it this far and for all your hard work! We all deserve to win.” It’s good that she managed to show at least a little gratitude at the end of it all, especially given how much she’s making for each episode. Maybe things will flow easier on the show’s next season.
Christina Aguilera has confirmed that she is separating from her hubby, music exec Jordan Bratman, after five years of marriage. The 29-year old powerhouse pop singer said “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever.” It’s always the kids who suffer in these kinds of situations so I hope that Christina and Jordan do keep their commitment to Max and at the very least maintain a friendly relationship to make sure that he grows up in a stable environment. At the same time, I also hope that they could find it in them to work things out.
But don’t get too excited… she only does this special feat for her two year-old son Max. Apparently Chrisitina Aguilera sings songs from the Disney movie “Marry Poppins” to her son in the evening when he needs to fall asleep. This is what the singer related on the matter: “I sing my son to sleep with ‘Mary Poppins’ and rock and cradle him and cover him up in bed and do really silly things that we won’t even mention.” Maybe Christina Aguilera might try to get into the children’s songs business… put out a few tracks, a few covers. It might prove to be more successful than her “Bionic” release.
It looks like an itchy rash isn’t going to stop Christina Aguilera’s passion for wearing latex. This is what she said on the matter: ”It’s beautiful…I’m really into fetish gear and latex is really making a strong statement for me. Good body contours. Has my husband worn it? I would not know! And I’ll never know! You don’t want to get your balls caught in that.” Well, at least Christina Aguilera looks out for her husband… but what about her kid? What happens when he stumbles over that sort of gear? What’s she going to tell him, that it’s modern-day armor?
It seems that when Christina Aguilera’s song, “Beautiful”, was composed, Courtney Love actually wanted dibs on it. Unfortunately the song’s writer, Linda Perry, didn’t share the view. This is what Courtney Love related about the whole thing: “In my entire life I’ve never wanted a song fully rendered, that someone else has written – ever… [the song] was 11 years old at the time… and she ended up giving it to Christina Aguilera, but I begged her for it. She said to me at the time… ‘You’re not ready for top 40; you will be. You’ll hate this song because you didn’t write it’ – which is totally true… “ Poor little Courtney Love, having to face such a harsh truth. It’s probably at that time she got into grunge.
Christina Aguilera and her hubby Jordan Bratman went out for a bite to eat at Osteria Mozza this past Sunday in West Hollywood.
Christina and Jordan had a backyard celebration at their home for their son Max’s first birthday last week. Little Max turned one year old on January 12th. The theme of the party was inspired by the children’s storybook, “Where the Wild Things Are.”
Among the 40 or so guests were Nicole Richie, her boyfriend Joel Madden and their daughter Harlow.
She recently did an interview where she said they both wanted to add to their family, wonder when that will happen?!
Xtina seen here wearing Givenchy co-hosted a dinner along with Louis XIII Black Pearl Cognac in honor of Matthew Rolston’s new book “Beauty Light.” The event was held at the Wallis Annenberg Cultural Center in Beverly Hills California on November 10.
Rolston’s “Beauty Light” is a book of modern Hollywood photography featuring such celebrities as: Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Drew Barrymore and Salma Hayek.
Xtina’s new album, Keeps Getting’ Better – A Decade of Hits, is exclusively being sold at Target stores starting today. She told MTV news:
“It was really gratifying to see how much hard work I’ve put in over the last 10 years. When you’re in it, you just don’t realize as it accumulates how much you’ve done and how far you’ve come. I can’t believe it’s been a decade already. [On the album,] I wanted to include all the songs that I know I loved and that are crowd pleasers and real staples of my career thus far.”
Take a peek at Christina Aguilera’s new “Keeps Gettin’ Better” music video. The song is the first single off her upcoming greatest hits album Keeps Gettin’ Better – A Decade of Hits.
The director for the music video was Peter Berg, the same director of the movie Hancock, which starred Will Smith. I think the point to the video, is that she is traveling through time and fashion to show case her ten year career.
“I really enjoyed making the video for ‘Keeps Gettin’ Better,” being an artist who likes to play around with different looks, it was a lot of fun to portray various characters within the same shoot.”
Christina Aguilera wore a mod Pucci top and purple YSL platforms at the Africa Rising Festival in London on Tuesday night. Tonight’s show was the grand finale of the four series, which were already held in Abuja, Lagos and Washington DC (US).
The opening performance was by Nigeria’s rising star, Asa, who sang three songs: Fire on the Mountain, Bibanke and Jailer.
Tonight, she will perform at UK’s Royal Albert Hall for the ThisDay-sponsored event. Christina will be performing alongside Seal and Youssou N’Dour, the Senegalese legend. Also taking the stage will be former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell who said:
“As Secretary of State, I pushed for support for the continent. Aid quadrupled during my tenure. We supported the fight against HIV/AIDS with over $15 billion,” the former Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US military, who was the first African-American to hold the position, said. “However, big Africans must rise and take the responsibility for the development of the continent. They must end the wars. They must fight corruption.”
Models Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek and Tyson Beckford will stroll the catwalk wearing clothes from international designer House of Momo. Deola Sagoe, Chris Aire and Ozwald Boateng also showcased their designs.
Christina’s performance in Britain will be her first major performance since giving birth to her baby son Max. She’ll be the opening act for Thisday Africa Rising Festival and she intends to do what she does best, she says:
“It is important to show Max what mommy does. It is really important to me is that he is an individual and that’s why it is important for me to stay true to myself. If it happens to be raunchy so be it! It’s a matter of self expression to me”.
I just don’t see her singing “Dirty” the same way she used to… though if she does, it should be interesting.
Soul legend, Seal will also serenade the crowd with some of his best songs.
