Filled in: It seems that the singer’s former husband, Ashley Cole, has actually devised a master plan through which he intends to win Cheryl Cole back. Step one of this plan is finding the perfect gift for the singer’s upcoming birthday and Ashley Cole has apparently had a spark of genius in that sense: a flotation tank. This is what a source said on the matter: ”Ashley reckons he’s thought of the best present to show Cheryl how much he still cares about her. He’s been racking his brains recently trying to think of a gift and some of his teammate at Chelsea use the flotation tanks. This will almost be a first step to having some of her belongings back in the house.” Somehow, his initial plan with the Chihuahua might have been a lot better than this new idea of his. If Cheryl Cole didn’t realize she’s making a huge mistake until now, her former husband sure is trying to make sure she does.
Even though Simon Cowell has done all of the persuasion work for her, it is Cheryl Cole who must apparently decide whether or not to return to the US X Factor as a judge. However, it appears that the singer is torn between her options here, as a source relates: ”It’s far from certain she will say yes. It’s a tough decision because it’s a huge show. There’s still a lot of pain there. At last Cheryl is in charge of the situation. She’s finally calling the shots, but she’s really not sure.” Indeed, Cheryl Cole is in charge now… or is that only what they want her to believe? This is a pretty big turnaround and there might just be something more to all of this than meets the eye.
Cheryl Cole was axed from her positing as judge on the US version of the X Factor and there are already a variety of reports going around as to what exactly went down. One source claims that the Girls Aloud singer stepped on the toes of network bosses because she refused to adapt to US culture and promote herself better in the US. Other sources are pointing the blame at Simon Cowell who failed to realize that combining Paula Abdul and Cheryl, who both enjoyed playful banter with him on their previous shows, would be disastrous. We’ll never know what really went on until Cheryl herself decides to talk about it. I just hope this isn’t an indication of what the show is going to be like when it premieres.
It seems the singer is pretty keen on getting an invitation to the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton. This is what Cheryl Cole had to say about this particular hope of hers: "I’ve met William a couple of times but never Kate. I can’t wait for the royal wedding – hopefully I’ll be watching from an aisle! I’m going to ask Prince Charles where my invite to the royal wedding is. I think it got lost in the post, there must be a delay with the Royal Mail." Well, well, it seems that Cheryl Cole isn’t above pulling a few strings to get into the wedding… but why shouldn’t she? After all, she is a notable element of the UK’s economy.
It seems that the denizens from the UK have declared Cheryl Cole the nation’s sweetheart, but the singer isn’t too happy with the title. This is what Cheryl Cole said on the matter: ‘I cringe. I cringe. It’s cringeworthy. I can’t take that on board. If I took all of that on board, I’d go crazy. If it took that on board, and then the negative stuff on board, where would I be? The first thing I ever say to my acts, as soon as I put them through Judges’ Houses is, do not read the newspapers or the internet or magazines. And every single time, they do. It’s so much easier to say than do, but I’m not just saying it for the sake of it. I’m talking from experience, you know?’’ Well now, if that’s the case, then it begs the question: why move to the US of all places? If Cheryl Cole wants to just get away from the publicity, that’s the worst place she can go.
Even though Cheryl Cole’s name has been linked to the US version of X Factor for months now, sources say that Fox has their eyes on someone else. A source said “The Fox executives are totally against Cheryl joining the panel. They’re saying that together with her accent being difficult to understand, and nobody knowing who she is, she doesn’t have the star qualities to draw in an audience.” So who do they want to be part of the panel? None other than pop diva extraordinaire Mariah Carey! Insiders say that the singer is currently in negotiations to join the panel alongside Simon Cowell and Pussycat Dolls front woman Nicole Scherzinger. A source said “Mariah Carey’s people say she’s fully behind the idea and they’re very interested in taking talks further. Mariah has already had the initial meeting with Fox, so she will more than likely take the spot Simon wanted for Cheryl. While Simon may want Cheryl, he understands Fox’s insistence that he delivers a strong panel to bring viewers, and therefore advertising, in and make as much money as they can.”
It seems that the judge of Simon Cowell’s talent show is having a run in with the producers who are supposedly forcing her to vote off Gamu Nhengu due to the latter’s visa problem. Now Cheryl Cole is trying to make the producers admit this publicly. A source claims she told them the following: “We need to sort this out or it’ll overshadow the whole series.” Right… wasn’t Cheryl Cole thinking that when actually casting the vote? It might work not to do something against your conscience instead of going through with it and then pointing the finger.
Despite reports that Simon Cowell and fellow X Factor judge Cheryl Cole were feuding over contestant Gamu Nhengu, Simon has set the record straight by saying “No. Cheryl and I haven’t had a fight, yet! And I certainly couldn’t tell her what to do even if I wanted to. We are helping Gamu and her family as much as possible and have lawyers working with her lawyers, not because we have to but because I really feel for their situation, and that’s outside of the show. We were unaware there would be any problem with her visa until this week.”
Cheryl Cole has given estranged husband Ashley rights to the couple’s two chihuahuas, Coco and Buster.
The tiny pop singer, reeling from the implosion of her marriage, has given Ashley temporary custody of Coco. The dog is a paranoid schizophrenic, according to the UK Mirror.
The paper reports Buster will accompany Coco until the Coles, who have separated, work out the dogs’ future arrangements.
A source said: “They want to sort this out as amicably as possible so, to keep the peace, Cheryl is allowing Ashley to spend a few days with them when he gets back to the UK. But she’s not willing to drop them off in person – it’s simply too soon. Instead, Ashley has arranged for a car to pick them up from their home and take them to his makeshift apartment in London. He will have them for a few days and then the dogs will go back to Cheryl. In effect, they have negotiated an ad hoc custody agreement. Cheryl won’t stop Ashley from seeing the chihuahuas but, long-term, she does want them with her.”
A last-ditch attempt by the mother of Ashley Cole to thaw Cheryl Cole’s resolve has failed, the UK Mirror reports.
Cheryl, who has officially separated from the star footballer, would not be moved by the overtures of her mother-in-law Sue.
A source close to Cheryl said: “Sue has been trying to act as intermediary between Cheryl and Ashley, and doing her best to help them patch up their differences. She loves Cheryl and obviously hates seeing her son hurt.”
Ashley was reported last week making desperate phone calls to his wife, who had dumped him in a text message after revelations of his alleged sex-texting surfaced. Initially, Cheryl was unable to take calls – even from her mother-in-law – and was reported starving herself on a diet of peppermint tea.
The source continued: “But they finally spoke and Cheryl made clear there is no going back. The marriage is over and she can’t take him back. They spoke calmly and fondly to one another and there was certainly no screaming or shouting.”
