Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s first Canadian restaurant has been forced to shut its doors just hours after it first opened in Montreal. The restaurant, called Laurier Gordon Ramsay, had to be evacuated last night after it experienced a malfunction with its sprinkler equipment. The restaurant’s Twitter page stated: “Due to a problem with our sprinkler, we evacuated the restaurant. The sprinkler is being inspected. Update to follow.” It said the situation is under control and that the restaurant sustained limited damage. Kitchen Nightmares star Ramsay, 44, was not on hand for the accident, US website Gossip Cop reports. Ramsay’s fellow British chef star Jamie Oliver’s own restaurant was damaged in riots in the UK earlier this week.

Mum-to-be Jessica Alba says her husband Cash Warren accuses her of making his hair go grey. The heavily pregnant actress says her beau is hotter now because of his ’salt and pepper’ barnet, and that he also treats her better the older he gets. She was radiant and glowing during an appearance on CBS’s The Talk, which is co-presented by Sharon Osbourne. Asked whether she believes that men improve with age, the 31-year-old said, “I think they get better if they take care of themselves. “If they exercise and eat right, because they do get better with age as far as they learn how to treat you better. “They do grow up, but they probably peak in their late teens or early 20s unless they take care of themselves. “My husband had a little tiny bit of grey when we first met but he says that I gave him the rest of his grey hair which maybe I have.”

Elle Fanning has revealed that she and her big sister Dakota both originally wanted to be tennis players. The Super 8 star said that her parents never cease to be amused by their children’s acting careers because no one else in the family can act. Their mum is a tennis star and dad is a baseball player. She told movies.ie, “My parents have no acting genes at all, no one in my family really, so it was funny when we got into acting because we were supposed to be like Venus and Serena [Williams], tennis players, so it was sort of mad that it worked out that way. “My mum and sister moved out to LA and decided it was something Dakota really wanted to do, so me and my dad moved out and I saw what my big sister was doing and I wanted to try it and it’s fun we have that connection, that’s something that brings us together in a way, that we both do movies and that’s fun for us.” The 13-year-old started acting at the tender age of two and said that she hopes to carry on for years to come. “It’s something I’ve been doing my whole life and can hopefully continue to do it, it’s really fun. I do lots of ballet and sing, there’s other things I do as well, movies are just another after school activity right?!”

Proceeds will be donated to the town of Joplin, Missouri, which was ravaged by a tornado earlier this summer. “After the tornado in Joplin I was moved to help rebuild a city so close to where I grew up in Missouri,” says Crow, 49. “My hope is that the auction of my 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster will bring in funds to help rebuild the schools in the area.” Crow bought the car in 2005 an it is expected to fetch between $50,000 and $80,000 by Gooding & Co. auction house. Steve McQueen’s motorbike – an impressive 1931 Brough Superior SS80 – is also up for grabs with an estimated sale of $100,000 to $200,000. The slick rides will be offered without reserve on Sunday, August 21, at Pebble Beach, California.

Brooke Mueller is reportedly planning to head to Mexico to undergo a course of “extreme” rehab. The former wife of Charlie Sheen has been in hospital since she was allegedly thrown off a United Airlines plane last week after arguing with an air hostess. And according to TMZ, as soon as she is released, she will travel to the clinic in Cancun, which uses a plant extract said to “rewire” the brain to help break drug additions. Ibogaine, a hallucinogen that comes from the iboga plant, is illegal in the US but is thought to interrupt addictions to alcohol, cocaine, methadone and heroin.

Tiger Woods’ heartbroken ex-wife Elin Nordegren has found love again with a wealthy American investor, it was revealed today. Elin, who divorced Tiger after the shocking scandal of his repeated cheating, is said to have first met handsome Jamie Dingman at a Ball last January. They are said to have been dating now ‘for months’ and were recently spotted outside Elin’s apartment in Stockholm, Sweden. Charming Dingman, the son of billionaire Michael Dingman, has a history with famous women – he once dated actress Bridget Moynahan and was even linked last year to Princess Madeleine of Sweden. But now friends say he is getting serious – and seriously happy – with Elin. “He’s never been so happy. He and Elin have strong feelings for each other,” a friend told Page Six. “He’s a classic all-American guy. He’s handsome, a total gentleman and low-key. He’s never been in the press. Elin’s a very lucky girl – he’s a great guy and very private.” The source added: “And he doesn’t play golf.” Friends told Page Six that Jamie is an accomplished emerging-markets veteran who has represented his father’s interests in China for the past six years. Spokespeople for Nordegren and Dingman could not be reached for comment.

Jessica Alba proudly showed off her pregnant belly for Latina magazine. “If you are sporting a pregnant belly, it’s better to show it than to hide it,” she told the mag. “The more figure-forming your clothes, even though you have more curves, the better.” She also said that being pregnant a second time is easier because the experiences that worried her while pregnant with daughter Honor Marie, now three, are old hat. “With Honor, I was constantly asking myself ‘Is she moving? Is her heart beating?’” Alba admits. “I’d worry about everything. With this baby I don’t have the same anxieties.” She also says being a mum has lessened her devotion to life as an actress. “Before I had her, work was all I had,” Alba said. “Now it’s not.” She added: “I love what I do. But unless it’s worth it, I’m not going to spend time away from my daughter.” She even admits: “After I had Honor I didn’t leave the house for a while. “It was all about changing diapers and feedings and still trying to get back in to the routine of my [acting] thing.” On the possibility of more kids, Alba – who is now learning Spanish – said with a wink: “I just have to feel it out. See how my 30s treat me. I just try to live in the moment.”

A missing $30m Andy Warhol portrait of Farrah Fawcett has allegedly been found — hanging above former lover Ryan O’Neal’s bed. The artwork depicting the iconic Charlie’s Angels star was shown hanging in O’Neal’s bedroom in the premiere of the actor’s new reality series Ryan & Tatum: The O’Neals — and looks identical to one of two Warhol pieces that Fawcett reportedly bequeathed to the University of Texas. While one portrait was given to the US university, the other remained unaccounted for — sparking an investigation into the whereabouts of the pop-art piece. The first hint that O’Neal — who was omitted from Fawcett’s will — might have it in his possession came in his daughter Tatum O’Neal’s new autobiography, Found: A Daughter’s Journey Home. The 47-year-old former child star, who won an Oscar at the age of 10 for her performance alongside her father in the 1973 film Paper Moon, mentioned that it was hanging in his home. “On every wall, there are pictures of us and the rest of the family in our golden days,” she wrote. “The original poster from Paper Moon, Andy Warhol’s portrait of Farrah.” According to US reports, officials at the University of Texas have hired a Hollywood private investigator to determine the whereabouts of the artwork. The university has also spoken to Fawcett’s friend, Craig Nevius, a documentary film-maker and producer of Farrah’s Story — a video diary of her cancer battle and final days — who said he believes the picture is the original artwork. “Ryan couldn’t control Farrah in life, so he’s attempting to control her in death,” Nevius said. “Now Ryan’s got Farrah exactly where he wants her — hanging in his bedroom.”

Pippa Middleton reportedly split up with her long-term boyfriend Alex Loudon because she wanted to pursue her dream of living abroad. A friend of Pippa’s has said that the couple are having a ‘three month separation’ while she makes her move overseas. The 27-year-old is allegedly going to spend some time living in the South of France to try and work on her career as an events planner. A source told British newspaper The Sun: “Pippa and Alex and going to have a three-month separation. “She is keen to spend some time living abroad – she’s a massive fan of the South of France and hopes to work there and have a base there a bit more permanently. “But Alex doesn’t have the same dream as Pippa. He’s quite happy being in London, so it’s not something he is keen to share with her.” The source added: “She’s an amazing social networker and wants to throw the biggest and best parties. “She’d love to work on events around the Cannes Film Festival.” Broker Alex, 30, apparently felt like his life has changed a lot since the royal wedding. The insider said: “Alex is gutted about it, but he feels his life has been turned upside down since the royal wedding. “But he has high hopes that by September she might have thought things over and realise that she might be better off staying in London rather than running off all over the world.” Pippa’s popularity has skyrocketed since she appeared at her sister Kate’s wedding to Prince William in a figure-hugging bridesmaid dress.

Eva Mendes has secured a restraining order against an alleged stalker who sent her a terrifying letter and left hours of rambling messages for her. The 37-year-old Hollywood star was granted the temporary order against John C. Luna after he reportedly turned up at her house on May 31, and previously sent her a ‘creepy’ package of a letter, card and nine hours of ‘bizarre’ audio messages. In court papers, lawyers for Mendes state that Luna, 39, is ‘a mentally unstable stalker, obsessed with Petitioner (Mendes) who delusional believes he has for years had an online relationship with her and believes he will marry petitioner.’ A judge on Tuesday ruled that Luna must stay at least 100 yards away from Mendes and not contact her. In a signed court declaration, Mendes stated, “I do not personally know, nor have any relationship with Mr Luna, have never had any personal communications with him, nor do I desire any interaction or communication with him whatsoever. “Despite these facts, Mr Luna has sought to have personal contact with me and insert himself into my personal and private life. “He engaged in on-going stalking and harassment directed at me, which is seriously alarming, annoying, and harassing me. “As a result of Mr Luna’s conduct directed at me, including references in a letter that he knows I am willing to die for him, and his showing up at my house on May 31 2011 looking for me, I am in constant fear from Mr Luna for my personal safety, and that of those around me.” A further hearing on the temporary order will be heard on June 20.
