Little Fockers star Teri Polo owes more than $458,000 in over-due taxes, according to reports. The 41-year-old actress, who plays Ben Stiller’s wife Pam in the movie series, is said to be four years in arrears with her taxes. But her manager Bob McGowan told the Detroit Free-Press that Polo got into arrears due to an expensive divorce and a lack of movie roles, and that she has since come to an agreement with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to pay back the debt. According to the US newspaper, the IRS placed a number of liens (which means Polo’s property could be taken if the obligation is not fulfilled) against her for back taxes that are owed from the period between 2005 and 2008.
Actress Drew Barrymore has splashed out $6.9 million on a six-bedroom mansion in one of California’s most exclusive neighbourhoods. The Charlie’s Angels star is moving to a sprawling three-acre estate in Montecito, near Santa Barbara, where famous residents include Oprah Winfrey, Jeff Bridges and Rob Lowe. Her new home is a three-story Mediterranean-style mansion with five bathrooms, a pool and a spa.
Piers Morgan can rest assured that he has Jack Bauer’s support for his new TV show as actor Kiefer Sutherland told him, ‘Go kill it, Piers.’ Piers, soon to start his high-profile CNN gig replacing Larry King, was thrilled when Kiefer gave him the 24-like support when they saw each other at New York’s hippest restaurant, the Waverly Inn. The timing was particularly good, too, because Piers admits the Vogue creative director Grace Coddington had no idea who he was when he went over to say hi. According to the New York Post, an onlooker says the editor “looked blank” when Piers told her she was his “idol”, and Piers then told her how she had even had him profiled recently in her magazine. “Then she remembered, or pretended to,” Piers laughed. But he was thrilled when Kiefer then saved the day. “I didn’t mind because Kiefer Sutherland came over and said he’d come on the show. He gave me the Jack Bauer line, ‘Go kill it, Piers’,” Morgan recalled.
Martha Stewart made a spooky appearance on a US chat show. The 69-year-old TV star sported yellow eyes as she helped Jay Leno get into the Halloween sprit. “I have Halloween eyes. They’re contact lenses,” she reassured the shocked host. “I love Halloween. I love transformation. At Halloween you can transform something into something else.” Stewart showed off a banquet of green slime, beef tongue, chicken feet and pigs’ trotters as a bemused Leno attempted to take it all in. The business magnate confessed she gets so enthusiastic about the ghoulish holiday she puts her French bulldogs in fancy dress. She also showed off photos of two of her favourite fancy dress outfits a Little Bo Peep costume which she wore as a child, and a skimpy Wonderwoman outfit she wore in later life. “I made that one,” she said proudly.
Former US president Bill Clinton has given $500,000 to actor Sean Penn for Haiti. Clinton has shown his support of Penn’s ongoing work in Haiti by donating half-a-million dollars to his charity. The Clinton Foundation gave $500,000 to Penn’s charity, J/P Haitian Relief Organisation. The donated money will be used to provide bridge funding for a camp in Petionville, which is run by the organisation. Penn, 50, told People.com: “The support of President Clinton and the Clinton Foundation is an extraordinary boost in our organisation’s ability to continue its work in Haiti. “From the beginning the Clinton Foundation staff and leadership have generously shared expertise and essential logistical support.” Sean works to help Haiti after it was hit by a devastating earthquake in January 2010.
Comic Jack Whitehall has admitted he put some of his former school pal Emma Watson’s possessions on eBay.
Whitehall said he managed to get hold of a number of the Harry Potter star’s personal items and put some of them on auction site eBay once she hit the big time.
He admitted: “It was a chance to be entrepreneurial, and I’m sure Emma wasn’t too upset.”
TV host Larry King does not know if he would recognise his likely replacement, Piers Morgan, if he saw him in the street.
Larry’s time on CNN is coming to an end and the 76-year-old would prefer to see Ryan Seacrest replace him, he says.
King told Forbes.com: “He’s my favourite. It’s subjective because he’s my friend, but I think he’d be immediately accepted.”
Larry also believes that the E! News host, 35, is a great journalist.
Despite all his positive comments about Ryan, Larry has less to say about Piers who has been rumoured to be replacing him in CNN’s 9 o’clock slot.
King said: “I’ve never seen him interview [anyone] but I hear he’s quite good. I don’t know him.”
He added: “Other than being a guest on my show, I’ve never watched America’s Got Talent and I don’t know if I’d recognise him if he was walking down the street.”
Earlier this year, King announced that after 25 years, he will be stepping down from his job hosting Larry King Live.
If Piers, 45, does replace him, King’s best advice would be to just be himself.

Shannon Price, the former wife of Gary Coleman, has been attempting to make money out of the Diff’rent Strokes star’s death, according to reports.
It has been claimed that Price tried to get $50,000 for an interview after her ex-husband passed away.
It has also been claimed that she had proposed giving a tour of the house where the actor fell and hit his head – for a price.
Coleman, 42, died after suffering a brain haemorrhage last week. Price is said to have made the decision to take the actor off life support. The former couple divorced in 2008.
“Our life together has not always been the best financially and right now I’m struggling to figure out what I’m going to do for the funeral costs,” Radar Online reports Price saying.
“I mean, I don’t know how I’m going to survive. It’s been a rough while because Gary hasn’t had much work because of his health … now I basically have nothing … I’m just wishing and hoping that people will pour out to us and really show their compassion like they have been sending the letters and emails.”

The Hollywood hunk gives voice to superhero Metro Man in the new cartoon comedy Megamind.
The film stars Will Ferrell as the villainous title character and Pitt as his do-gooding and popular arch-nemesis.
Metro Man is seen juggling babies and then hurling them back to their impressed parents as he attends a rally in his honour in these first shots from the Dreamworks picture.
But when Megamind accidentally kills Metro Man he finds himself bored and without purpose.
Megamind attempts to create another foe in the form of Titan – a young hero-in-training voiced by Jonah Hill – but the character isn’t as good as he first seemed.
The film also stars US comedienne Tina Fey as the female lead, a Lois Lane-style news reporter who keeps track of the hero-villain antics.
