Chris Brown who has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats following his alleged assault of Rihanna last month is the topic of more gossip.
The latest word is that it was Natasha Ellie who sent the three-page text message the one initially reported to be from someone who Chris “had a previous sexual relationship with.” When Rihanna checked his phone, that’s what started the argument during which Chris allegedly punched, bit and choked her until she was unconscious.
A source said:
“Rihanna has been having problems with this girl for a longtime. Rihanna even reached out to Natasha, but she denied everything. Have you heard the song ‘Emergency Room’ by Rihanna? In the lyrics she mentions finding Natasha’s number in Chris’ jeans. Rihanna didn’t write the song, but she met with the songwriter and told her how she felt and what she was going
though and they came up with it.”
‘Emergency Room’ includes the lyrics:
“I was pickin’ up your clothes in the
closet/ I was bout’ to throw your jeans in the washer/ ‘Til I saw a piece of
paper sayin’ “Tasha”/ I gotta say I found this a bit shockin’/ And some
reciepts here that say you went shoppin’/ You bought some Nike shoes/ But
why you buyin stockings?/ Boy how could you lie to me?/ I thought you would
die for me/ I’m not accepting another apology.”
Natasha lives in L.A. She has worked as a runway model and also
starred in several R’n'B videos, for artists including R. Kelly and Akon.
Natasha’s rep has denied the model had a relationship with Chris, but did confirm they met in Miami two years ago.
Amy Winehouse was out and about in Camden making a very successful return to the partying scene. You know she’s really making a statement telling us all she’s back when it’s marked by a lovely upskirt with polka dots.
Welcome back luv!
Amy has confirmed she will headline a series of concerts to celebrating the 50th birthday of Island Records. These are the only dates she has announced this year… but hey… it’s a start!
Tom Tom Club, Paul Weller and Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens) will also perform during the week-long series at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire in May to celebrate the half-centenary of the label.
Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, who started the label in Jamaica back in 1959, is co-curating the event. In keeping with the label’s heritage, the concerts will feature performances from reggae artists Toots and the Maytals and Sly & Robbie, as well as a number of “very special guests”.
More recent Island artists such as Keane, Bombay Bicycle Club and Ladyhawke will also participate.
Photo exhibitions, artwork displays and the publication of Keep On Running – The Story Of Island Records, will also take place starting the week May 25, 2009. Tickets went on sale Friday 13 March, and pre-sale registration is also available from the event’s official website.
Beyonce was at Patricia Field boutique on the Lower East Side of Manhattan this afternoon.
It seems as if she has some kind of new custom manicure. All of her fingers nails are black except the pinky is silver.
She recently spoke of how flattering she feels being idolized by President Obama’s daughters. She met Malia who is 10, and seven-year-old Sasha when she performed Etta James’ hit ‘At Last’ at the Presidential inauguration in January.
She told Vogue that Michelle Obama called her afterwards to tell her that her daughters were fans. Beyonce said:
“You have to feel fortunate to be one of the people whom parents don’t mind their children looking up to. The older I get, the more I think about the amount of influence I have on these young girls, and it’s scary sometimes.”
She has another fan in designer Thierry Mugler who designed her costumes for her upcoming tour. He recently said:
“I think of Beyonce as a modern-day warrior.”
Another fan is Cadillac Records director Darnell Martin who said:
“She was willing to do the work,” he adds, “to put on the weight and not be glamorous.” Beyonce played the part of soul singer Etta James in the film.
She is a great example for women. A warrior-princess who isn’t afraid to eat! Seriously though, I do admire her ambition, drive, and work ethic. She’s gifted, shares her talent, and is an excellent business woman as well.
Britney spent some time with her sons yesterday, Thursday, at Disney World in Florida. They really seem to be having a fun time together as a family… which is nice. She’s gone through a very difficult time with her breakdown and now that she is back on track and has the love and support she needs to continue to get well, I wish her nothing but the best for health & success both with her personal life, and with her tour.
She’s still under a LOT of pressure being a single working mother who is supporting not only herself, but her family and a massive team of people. It can’t be easy being under a microscope.
After her Disneyland day of fun she flew to Atlanta and put on quite the show. The fans there loved her!
Britney’s Circus tour is supposedly going to be a three-ringed theme, showcasing her rise to fame, her downward spiral, and her recovery through a circus-inspired story line. From what I’ve read, it seems that during the first act, an unhappy Britney runs away to join the circus. According to a tour insider:
“Brit is seen having fun in this crazy world and falling in love with a circus freak.” In the end, she manages to escape the lure of the circus, and is reunited with her family and friends.
The finale has Britney re-surfacing at the end of a rainbow after some sort of special effects indoor thunderstorm.
Quite the metaphor for Britney’s life.
The show will have her going through 12 costume changes, with fashions created by Donatella Versace and Dolce & Gabbana, as well as a silver corset from David and Phillippe Blond. It’s the same one that Britney wears in her album’s insert.
Here is a clip of Britney celebrating her birthday at club G-A-Y
Britney said goodbye to London, and Lily Allen who was on the BBC today had this to say about her when asked by Scott Mills ‘What did you think of Britney on X Factor?’:
Lily said:
“I love britney, I don’t care if she mimed or not, we all know she’s a mimer, and that’s a hard song to sing live” and she added “I loved her outfit, she looked really good”…lilly also said that she went to club Heaven in london after the x factor, and saw britney but she said that she could understand why she didn’t perform, she said that it was unbelievably hot, and there was people fainting all over the place.
How cute, the British call lipsynching ‘miming’.
Britney will be celebrating her 27th birthday in New York City on Tuesday starting off her special day with a performance inside Lincoln Center’s Big Apple Circus tent for Good Morning America.
Britney Spears has left LA to fly to Frankfurt Germany to promote her upcoming album, Circus which drops December 2. It must be K-Fed’s time to have the children for the holiday.
Spears is traveling with an entourage of close friends and family members, including her father, Jamie, and manager Larry Rudolph. Here she is dressed in a stylish brown fedora. Witnesses say she was holding her dad’s hand at the airport.
TMZ is reporting that last Friday she was in court to discuss with the Commisioner about the conservatorship and she apparently was complaining about her father being too strict. She complained to the point where she was called into chambers with one of the lawyers where they had a 45 minute discussion.
After a brief visit to Germany, she is expected to appear on the French program, Star Academy, and then on Simon Cowell’s X Factor in England before flying back to the U.S. next week. She is scheduled to go on a worldwide tour in the spring of next year.
Larry Rudolph, who was Britney’s manager for a long time before he was ‘fired’ by her just before she spiraled out of control, is back on her payroll. He sat down for an interview with the LA Times and talked about working with her and about her latest documentary. When The Times asked him if he had to think about working with her again, was there any hesitation on his part he had this to say:
“I’ve known this girl for over half her life, since she was 13. We have a very close friendship, but it’s sort of hard for me to explain my relationship with her. It’s a friendship, it’s a business relationship, there are some paternal aspects to it. We get along very well. I understand her better than everyone other than her immediate family. There’s a shorthand we use in terms of dealing with each other that just works. The bottom line is I think she’s amazing. I love her. She’s been a big part of my life, and I’ve been a big part of her life. Being a part of this new phase in her career is something I was very open to.”
The L.A. Times Blog has the rest of the article, it’s a nice read.
Brit and her boys went with Grandpa Spears this morning on a private jet back home which is Kentwood, Louisiana. This is the first time since KFed was granted custody that she’s been allowed to take her children out of the state. She must have been so happy, and hopefully she’s realizing that since she’s doing what she should be doing as a mother, she’s been rewarded with more access time with her sons.
It’s also the first time the boys have been to the Spears’ family compound called “Serenity.”
A source told OK!, that she took her boys to spend more quality time with their first cousin Maddie.
We all should name our apartments, houses, trailers, mobile homes or cardboard boxes, dontcha think?!
Britney just won the Best Album of the Year Award during the MTV Europe Awards today in Liverpool, England. She wasn’t present for the awards, but did have a thank you speech ready. Britney also just won the award for Best Act. Check out her speech here:
According to BMGjapan.com, “Amnesia” will be listed as the second bonus track after “Radar,” on Britney’s next album, Circus.
