US cyclist Lance Armstrong has welcomed a fourth child, it was reported.
Armstrong reportedly used his Twitter account to break the news of the birth of a son, named Max, with girlfriend Anna Hansen.
Armstrong reportedly wrote: "Wassup, world? My name is Max Armstrong and I just arrived. My mommy is healthy and so am I!"
He waited about 15 minutes before tweeting again to thank doctors and nurses, and saying the baby weighed in at 7lb, 5 ounces, and was 20 inches in length.
Armstrong, who has been mounting a comeback from retirement in recent months and is a survivor of testicular cancer, has three children with his former wife, Kristin.
He dated singer Sheryl Crowe before the couple reportedly split because Crowe wanted children. He is seven times winner of the annual French Pyrenees bicycle race, the Tour de France. He is reportedly intending to compete this year when the tour starts on July 4.
Nicole Richie was spotted waiting for an elevator. She’s looking so stylishly dressed for a pregnant mom to be. I haven’t seen any waif thin pregnant women in my neighbourhood wearing stilettos and clingy dresses like this outfit. She looks like she’s ready to walk the red carpet.
Joel Madden her boyfriend and father of her children tweeted last Friday:
“So Last night I ended up playing poker till 3 a.m. Thank God for my awesome girlfriend who let me sleep in today.”
M.I.A. has been booked for the second night of Coachella and will take the stage on April 18th. She’ll be replacing Amy Winehouse who will not be performing as she’s been denied a work visa due to all her legal troubles.
M.I.A. had her baby just last month, guess she’s not going to to be taking an extended maternity leave. I have to hand it to her, she worked right up to her delivery when she performed at the Grammys on her due date!
TMZ has M.I.A’s new baby’s birth certificate and, the baby’s name is not Ickitt, it’s Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman. There had been a rumour floating around on the internet that she was calling her child Ickitt and she took to her blog to dispute that matter and now we know the rumour was just that a rumour. Ikhyd is unusual, just like her.
Jennifer Lopez is pictured here walking into the Bowery Hotel in downtown NYC yesterday to have dinner with her manager Benny Medina. Seems she has done what she said she would and that was to take a year off with the babies and then get back to work. Many other celebs have stated they’ll take time off, but end up going back to work after just a couple of months.
She recently spoke to In Touch Magazine. When asked about Britney’s breakdown, Jennifer said:
“That was painful to watch.”
She went on to say:
“I understood the pressure she was going through, having been through a divorce, having money, having people depend on you. It will destroy you.”
Jennifer also revealed how she and her hubby Marc Anthony handle disagreements that come up during their marriage:
“If one of us has a complaint, the other one has to listen, no matter how difficult. We have to see if we care enough to change it and if we do care, then we have to change it.”
Yes it is true that the public pressure that celebs go through because of their fame can be difficult, but they have the wealth to help them cope. It needs to be said that non-celebrity people who don’t have the financial resources that stardom gives also face real pressure and difficulty. Many of them go through health problems, divorces, financial crisis and survive, they are not destroyed.
Britney spent some time with her sons yesterday, Thursday, at Disney World in Florida. They really seem to be having a fun time together as a family… which is nice. She’s gone through a very difficult time with her breakdown and now that she is back on track and has the love and support she needs to continue to get well, I wish her nothing but the best for health & success both with her personal life, and with her tour.
She’s still under a LOT of pressure being a single working mother who is supporting not only herself, but her family and a massive team of people. It can’t be easy being under a microscope.
After her Disneyland day of fun she flew to Atlanta and put on quite the show. The fans there loved her!
Usher’s rep says his wife, Tameka Raymond, is recovering from surgery in Brazil. Publicist Simone Smalls released the following :
“is in stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery in Brazil. Her husband Usher is with her at the hospital.”
No further details were provided. In her statement, Smalls went on to say:
“the family requests privacy at this difficult time.”
Usher was supposed to be one of the performers at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party Saturday night, but he had to cancel citing “a serious family illness.” How upsetting. She flys thousands of miles away for some surgery hoping for privacy, develops complications and now everyone knows.
The couple were married in August 2007. They have two young sons, 2-year-old Usher Raymond V and 2-month-old Naveid Ely Raymond.
Rihanna teamed up with the Black Eyed Peas Peapod Foundation for a benefit concert inside the Conga Room at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Thursday (February 5) in Los Angeles. Love her sexy skull dress by Betsey Johnson.
Fergie was also there to perform and she looked wicked in a shrunken leather Victorian jacket with hook and eye detail worn over a leather mini tornado dress by Grai.
Noticeably absent from the event which was presented by Adobe Youth Voices, was BEP member apl.de.ap (real name: Allan Pineda Lindo). He is in mourning over the death of his 21-year-old brother, Joven Pineda Deala, who was gunned down in the northern Philippine town of Porac.
In happier news, BEP member Taboo (real name: Jamie Gomez) and his fashion publicist wife Jaymie Dizon are expecting their first child together sometime this summer. Taboo has a teenage son, Joshua, with a former girlfriend.
Newlyweds Stacey ‘Fergie’ Ferguson and Josh Duhamel are seen here out for a walk together near their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles today.

“The ‘Pickler Family’ has gotten bigger….(and no I didn’t have a kid)…I adopted a Marmoset Monkey! She is the cutest little thing. She is so tiny, only weighs 3 ounces right now. I’m not sure exactly what I am going to name her….so maybe you guys can help me out. I’ll post a picture of her and you guys can comment on what you think I should name her….she is so sweet and she has the best personality. Did she really adopt this exotic and wild baby animal, or did she buy it for big bucks? It’s incredibly cruel to take this wild animal / needy tiny baby away from its mother, who will suffer without it. Marmosets live in family groups. Doesn’t she realize she has contributed to the wild animal pet trade?
Baby monkeys should be carried around constantly while they are young as they are not able to self-thermoregulate. If they are not fed a proper diet they can become ill with rickets or a weakened immune system.
Babies must be fed warmed formula on a schedule.
When monkeys reach puberty and the sex hormones kick in they have been known to become very aggressive and vicious! That’s why Michael Jackson got rid of Bubbles the chimp!
Monkeys require constant attention and distraction otherwise they become very destructive.
They are vulnerable to catching human diseases. The majority of the marmosets that are purchased for pets are eventually put up for rescue because their owners could not devote the time and energy necessary to care for them.
Ashlee Simpson has gone back to blonde after leaving a hair salon in West Hollywood on Friday. I was just starting to like her auburn look… oh well. I would guess she isn’t breast-feeding her baby anymore, since I don’t believe one is supposed to get their hair dyed if they are.
USA Weekend recently sat for a chat with her hubby Pete Wentz about being a new daddy to their son Bronx, who is now 4 weeks.
He talked about his love of reading, and what stories he’ll read to his boy:
Growing up, my parents OD’d me on the library, and I was pretty loaded up when it came to children’s books. I definitely can’t wait to read some of my favorites, like “Goodnight Moons,” “The Little Prince” and the “Mr. Men and Little Miss” books. I know that we already picked up the 50th anniversary copy of “Paddington Bear,” which is a great one.”
