Christina Spoke to Glamour Magazine about her new album:
I just started recording it, but I can tell you that this record is all about fun. I’ll be referencing Pop Art, Andy Warhol’s art. So it will [sound] fun and fast-paced, and visually, it will be full of color, which is how it’s going to tie in with my new fragrance, Inspire [in stores next month]. There’s also going to be a modern element to it that comes from my love of Tokyo.
I am glad to see that Christina has jumped on the fragrance bandwagon. I am surprised she didn’t do it a little sooner. I guess later is better than never. Sounds like her album might be like Gwen Stefani’s latest album. Colourful and elements from Tokyo?
Can’t wait to hear it!

Tori Amos is no longer with Epic Records and “has chosen the path of independence for her next work” according to her manager John Witherspoon. He Told Billboard’s Ask Billboard column:
“As with many of her contemporaries, Tori is devising new and exciting ways of getting her music to the masses without the boundaries and limitations of the major music companies.”
Her next album should drop in the spring of 2009 and will be “a project of new music and visuals which is being started in the summer,” he says.
Usher’s rep denies (to People Magazine) that the rumors of the pair splitting up are 100% false.
“Usher and Tameka are currently traveling in Europe together as a family on his promotional tour in support of his album Here I Stand, available May 27,” he added. “This rumor is completely false.”
I guess the reports were wrong…. Unless the rep is trying to keep it under wraps someone is lying to the press!

The owner Claus Hjelmbak (right) revealed: “I’m grossly disappointed in Lindsay for not fulfilling her contractual duties.
He added: “Paris truly saved the night. She was very gracious to everyone — and was the life of the party!”
On Friday night, Lindsay, 21, arrived at the mansion for a fashion event she’d been paid to host, at which 13 posh designers were offering swag to a slew of A-listers. But when she spied the words “Paris Hilton Handbags” plastered on the red-carpet event’s sponsor board, she reportedly pitched a fit — and fled the gala less than an hour later. Soon after that, 27-year-old Paris herself showed up with new beau Benji Madden and stepped into the hosting role. Sources tell us Lindsay took some “very expensive gifts” with her before storming out.
I can’t believe that she would actually leave a paid gig. That is totally unprofessional! Just because she was angry about Paris Hilton showing up. You would think Lindsay would be behaving considering she isn’t on drugs or drinking. No one is going to hire her, after this now.
Looks like Danity Kane have posed like Britney did back in 2003 for Esquire magazine. Who do you think did it better? Danity Kanes album “Welcome To The Dollhouse” seems to be very highly anticipated by many fans. I put their first single Damaged on my ipod and I can’t get it out of my head. “Do you .. do you… do you…have a first aid kit handy?” haha go check it out because it is very catchy. I just wish two of the Danity Kane girls would have posed like Britney did from the ends. So we could see a nice side view of their most likely very tight butts. (If not I am sure photoshop would have done the trick to tighten them up!)

I found this picture that is supposedly Janet Jackson’s Discipline Cover. I am not really digging her the hair, and the outfit. I know she is going for the dominatrix type thing but it just isn’t sexy. I think the other promo pictures she released, were way hotter. Janet’s album is to be released on Feb 26th, so she still has time to change the cover. Hopefully she will.. because this one is awful.

American Gangster his 10th album, is expected to top the Billboard Top 200 album chart next week. According to Nielsen Soundscan, American Gangster has done so well it’s now topping Chris Brown’s Exclusive, The Eagles Long Road Out of Eden and Garth Brooks’ latest album Ultimate Hits.

Meanwhile he is sending waves throughout the fashion world with the formation of his new company Scion LLC, a joint venture between Jay-Z and Iconix, the company that purchased Rocawear for $204 million. He just purchased the high-end fashion brand sold in specialty stores and boutiques in the US and UK called Artful Dodger for 15 million.
The clothing brand is named after the 19th Century Artful Dodger , who led a group of young boys in mischief throughout the UK.
He released a statement after the buy out saying: “Artful Dodger is an incredible brand with a lot of room for growth and Scott Langton is a visionary designer,” Jay-Z said. “They represent what’s next and new in fashion and we are glad to have both the brand and Scott as a part of our family. Artful Dodger represents the first of many acquisitions that will begin to shape our joint venture with Iconix.”
