Prince William and Kate are reportedly set to keep costs down on their forthcoming tour of Canada by leaving the private jet at home. Kate is also believed to have turned down the chance to have a hairdresser and lady-in-waiting with her when they carry out their first tour together next month, while William has refused to take any more staff than is absolutely necessary. According to The Sun, that and their decision to fly with British Airways will save British tax payers in the region of £200,000, while Prince Charles’ 2005 visit to the US by private jet is believed to have cost £300,000. A source told the newspaper, “William wants to distance himself from any claims he is extravagant or wasteful like other family members. “But the fact he is flying home on a normal airline will make it even harder for the likes of [Prince] Charles and Andrew to justify private jets.” William and Kate will tour eight Canadian cities in nine days and then head to Los Angeles for a two-day visit.

Actor Bill Nighy is said to be negotiating a role in the new Total Recall remake. The British star could be starring opposite Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel in the new movie from director Len Wiseman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film is based on the 1990 movie that saw Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role. In the new version, the Martian element has been taken out and involves the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai. Farrell will be taking on the role of factory worker Douglas Quaid who starts thinking he is a spy.

Khloe Kardashian has admitted she is “freaking out” about her struggle to get pregnant. The reality star and husband Lamar Odom have been trying to conceive for some time and in the final installment of their show Khloe & Lamar she finally crumbles under the pressure after another round of fertility testing. She tells Lamar: “I’m sorry for snapping at you and being on edge lately but I’ve been holding a lot of stuff in and trying not to bother you, but I’ve been freaking out about why I’m not pregnant. It’s scary [thinking], ‘Oh God, what if I physically can’t have kids’.” Odom, who married Kardashian in 2009 after just 32 days together, was more optimistic. “It’ll work out. If something is wrong, that doesn’t affect anything [we're] going to do [as a couple],” he said. “We’re not going to give up.”

The 33-year-old, who has recently signed on to replace Charlie Sheen in US TV show Two and a Half Men, is said to have invested a large sum into airbnb.com. According to the Los Angeles Times, the site is a place ‘where people can list and book places and things (apartments, sailboats or even the occasional castle) for travelling and vacations.’ Ashton is known to be a huge fan of the Internet and was one of the first celebrities to get involved with social networking website Twitter.

Jessica Alba is looking forward to the arrival of her baby so she can enjoy some cuddles. The actress is expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren and said that she can’t wait to have a new born baby in her arms again. She told People magazine: “They’re little peanuts! They’re just the best. Their smell and the cuddling! They’re so sweet.” The 29-year-old added that she is confident that her body will bounce back into shape naturally after she gives birth. “My grandmother was amazing. She would go home and would put on the clothes that she wore before she got pregnant with all five of her kids,” she explained. “It’s definitely good genetics, but she also worked through all of her pregnancies. Just being on your feet and moving probably helped.”

True Grit star Jeff Bridges has signed on to join Ryan Reynolds in new supernatural lawman movie R.I.P.D. The 61-year-old actor will star alongside Ryan, 34, in the Robert Schwentke directed film based on a comic about a group of dead law enforcers trying to keep other dead people from a life of crime. The Oscar-winning star will play character Roy Powell, a gunslinger who has been dead for hundreds of years, while Reynolds will star as his partner Nick Cruz, a policeman who was recently murdered. Filming for the movie is set to begin in Boston in September, Variety.com reports.

The dress Kate Middleton wore to meet US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle has sold out in the US and online. Newlywed Kate, 29, was looking tanned as she joined her husband Prince William, 28, at Buckingham Palace to greet the couple and was pictured wearing a taupe dress from the high-street store Reiss. The Shola dress was priced at £175 and Reiss has confirmed that limited numbers of the dress are still available after she opted to wear the outfit for the important meeting. Reiss wrote a message on their Twitter page saying: “To all our Shola fans!… The dress has now sold out online and in the US, with very limited stock left in UK stores.” The website also crashed for around two hours after she was pictured in the dress as fans rushed to get their hands on it. At the time, they wrote: “Due to unprecedented demand, Shola mania has crashed our website!”

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she was left physically scarred by her mutant costume for X Men: First Class. The 20-year-old had to endure an eight-hour process – which involved being be shaved, rubbed down with alcohol, coated with five layers of paint and topped with silicone scales – to transform her in to blue-skinned mutant Mystique. She told The Telegraph, “I got tired just thinking about it. It was a long process. I have scars.” But despite the lasting marks that it left on her skin, she insisted that the film was ‘a very cool thing to be a part of’. “It was mostly just fun. I don’t remember us working, I just remember us cracking up on set,” she said.
