The French actress strikes a natural pose, wearing a floral gypsy dress by Ralph Lauren, and tousled hair for the shot taken by famed photographer Bruce Webber. The 34-year-old joins the ranks of celebrities including Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears who have opted to pose for cover shots showing off their untouched looks. Cotillard gained international prominence for her portrayal of legendary French chanteuse Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose that earned her an Academy Award, a Bafta, and a Golden Globe.

Hollywood actor Russell Crowe will play a secret agent turned vigilante in a big screen remake of The Equalizer, reports say. The 46-year-old will step into the shoes of Edward Woodward for the long awaited adaptation of the popular 80’s US TV series, according to British newspaper the Daily Star. Paul Haggis, who wrote hit film Crash, is behind the script. Edward, who passed away last year at the age of 79, played Robert McCall from 1985 to 1989 in the television series.

She claimed she had no regrets but admitted she never sold her own house after moving in with the funnyman. “Those moments where you saw us together, was it love? You’re damned right it was,” she said. “The problem is there wasn’t a photographer when the times were rough.” McCarthy said she held onto a gut feeling that they would not be a couple forever. “I would say I maybe had a little bit of an internal knowing because I kept my house. I never sold it when I did move in to Jim’s house.” McCarthy, 37, who has an eight-year-old son Evan with ex-husband John Asher, split from 48-year-old Carrey in April this year after dating for five years. She told chat show host Oprah Winfrey how they began questioning their romance after the fun element disappeared.
Bristol Palin said she is ‘glad’ her family made it to see her perform on Dancing With The Stars. The 19-year-old is performing in the contest with dance partner Mark Ballas and her second performance, which she scored 22 out of 30 with the judges, was observed by mum Sarah Palin. Speaking to Extra, Bristol said: “I’m glad my family could make it tonight.” Mum Sarah, the former Governor of Alaska, added that ’she was so proud’ and ‘very excited’ for her daughter competing in the show. Bristol recently took Ballas to her hometown of Alaska to meet her entire family.
Film-maker Darren Aronofsky is reportedly in the running to direct the new Superman movie as Ben Affleck drops out. The 41-year-old, who is engaged to actress Rachel Weisz, is best known for directing 2008 movie The Wrestler as well as upcoming flick Black Swan. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aronofsky has now joined the race to direct the film along with Duncan Jones, Tony Scott and Zack Snyder. Ben Affleck was at the helm of recent box-office hit The Town but has now revealed he no longer wants to direct Superman. Christopher Nolan has signed on to produce the new movie along with his producer wife Emma Thomas. The pair are currently involved in the selection process for the new director.
Ashton Kutcher is set to launch a sitcom based on a cheeky Twitter feed, according to US reports. Hot on the heels of the successful debut of their series $#*! My Dad Says, starring William Shatner, US broadcaster CBS has announced they are developing a second show based on Twitter. Social media master Ashton Kutcher will be the executive producer of the sitcom, based on the feed Don’t Tell Steve, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The tweets describe the disgusting and often drunken antics of the author’s room mate Steve. Samples include, “Steve is loudly challenging people to a drinking contest. Nobody biting, so he’s just doing shots and declaring himself the winner” and “Steve, just now, yelling from our bathroom: ‘Total Asparagus pee bro! Come smell!’” $#*! My Dad Says was based on the Twitter feed S**t My Dad Says, which has since become a book.
Actress Rachel Bilson has admitted she forgets things easily because of a car crash she had when she was a teenager. Bilson, now 29, was just 14 years old when she and a group of pals took a road trip one night down the freeway. She said to UK newspaper Daily Record: “They were just goofing around in the car, a guy grabbed the steering wheel and we went into oncoming traffic on the Pacific Coast Highway. “I don’t remember any of it. My parents, on the other hand, do. I don’t have much of a memory now and I think it’s because of that accident.” The actress, who shot to fame when she appeared in The OC, added that she struggles to read books but can manage to read her lines for acting roles. She said: “I don’t read a lot because I don’t retain a lot. It’s hard for me – but I can look at lines and remember them right before I do them.”
