Australian actor Simon Baker is reportedly considering becoming an American.

Baker, who thinks nothing of gearing up for a game of gridiron with his sons, Claude Blue, 11, and Harry, 8, along with rescued dog Happy, approached his wife Rebecca Rigg about making things with his new homeland official.

Rigg, an actress, is a longtime Ozwood dweller and best friend of Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman. Baker of The Mentalist fame told Woman’s Day: “I said to my wife, Rebecca. You know, I’m thinking about becoming an American and then she said that she felt the same way.”

The pair has lived in the US since 1995. Kidman is godmother to Harry, while Watts is godmother to Claude.

Baker noted: “I like what my life is, Simon Baker’s life is a good life.”
