Filming for Courteney Cox’s series Cougar Town has been suspended while the star attends a private family matter.

Reps for Cox, 45, and the show have not disclosed what the issue was.

An ABC rep said in a statement: “We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter.”

Cougar Town focuses on a recently divorced woman who re-enters a dating scene filled with younger men while living with her 17-year old son.
