Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly in talks to star in the new thriller Source Code.

The sci-fi flick will be directed by Duncan Jones, and Mark Gordon will produce along with Vendome’s CEO Philippe Rousselet and Jordan Wynn.

Filming is scheduled to start next year.

The movie centres around a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a train bombing until he can work out who is responsible.

Gyllenhaal is currently filming the flick Love and Other Drugs.

He will next be seen in the Jim Sheridan film Brothers and the Disney flick Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
