The long arm of the law has reached out and pulled actor Dennis Quaid to its chest, say eyewitnesses.
A videographer alleges Quaid was “hammered” when he left posh eatery Philippe in West Hollywood with his wife Kimberly after attending the premiere of One Peace At A Time.
Quaid made his way to his Caddy Escalade and was about to drive off when a friendly peace officer drove up alongside and advised him to give the idea a miss.
Quaid, 55, reportedly replied: “What do you want me to do?” Co-operating, the actor, who appeared in The Rise of the Cobra with Sienna Miller, went back into the restaurant with his wife -re-emerging later to get into a waiting cab.
A gaggle of photographers, meanwhile, were said to have teasingly reminded Quaid about Mel Gibson’s DUI episode, getting a laugh from the actor.
