Jennifer Garner was given some first aid treatment on a US chat show after showing off her injuries from a fall.

The movie beauty’s grazes on a knee and elbow were spotted by talk show host David Letterman while he interviewed her.

He pulled out a tube of cream to rub into the injuries, and jokingly told Garner: “Leave that on. It will come off in the shower, then put more on.”

The Juno actress told Letterman she took a heavy fall while running.

She said: “I just biffed. I just took a header. I wasn’t even making an action movie or anything. If you do it when you’re making an action movie you feel cool. If you do it running on a pretty day in front of a lot of people you don’t feel so cool.”
