Britney Spears went to see the Tony award-winning Broadway musical In The Heights at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City on Tuesday night.
She looked weave-tastic in her wee black mini with wee ankle booties.
In The Heights was nominated for thirteen Tony Awards, and won the Tony Award for Best Musical last month. If you’d like to see more pictures and a preview of the Broadway production, visit: InTheHeightsTheMusical.com.
She’s in New York to promote Womanizer and also dropped by Ryan Seacrest for a quick little interview. Check out his site to hear it.
Here are the two bff vacationing in Cabo. I read the following on some other site and found myself wondering what Lindsay and Samantha thought about Joe Francis’ opinion on Lindsay’s sexuality. It’s bad enough when guys kiss and tell to friends about their exs, but beaking off to the press…
When Joe Francis stopped by the Hollywood Party Girl show yesterday, he went wild when asked about Lindsay Lohan, claiming that her constant companion Samantha Ronson is so jealous of any of L.L.’s male friends that she almost punched him.
“Lindsay’s straight,” he offered. “I think Sam has taken ownership of Lindsay. I think if Sam were to let Lindsay go even that much; Lindsay would revert back to being straight.”
Sam Ronson’s rep declined to comment saying, “We don’t comment on stuff like that,” and Lindsay’s rep has yet to respond. Francis dated Lindsay in her pre-rehab days and she did vacation at his Casa Aramara mansion in Mexico… so he should know these things… shouldn’t he??!!
Rihanna who is the official face for the Gucci Charity campaign did the shoot for its first ad campaign in collaboration with UNICEF this summer. 25% of the sales of the limited edition products that Gucci does for UNICEF will go to charity.
Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini said:
“When we decided to dedicate a full ad campaign, more than just creating products, to really come out and show our commitment to UNICEF, I felt a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign.”
Rihanna was just as enthusiastic about working with the Italian fashion house:
“I give them so much respect,” she said of Gucci’s charitable ways.
She had been on tour in Europe doing the promo gig for her latest single, “Disturbia” in addition to her charitable duties. Now that she’s wrapped that up, her next stops are to Australia and New Zealand in October.
“Then we’re going to play around in the studio for a while,” she said. She mentioned that her own fashion collection is still in the works:
“I’m not one to rush into anything. I want to take my time,” she said. “I can’t say when it will be released, but it’s definitely going to happen.”
Check out the outfit she’s wearing here at the Roberto Cavalli show. She really likes to make a statement doesn’t she? I wonder what her designs will be like and who will wear them? Some of the outfits she puts together look ridiculous!
So much for her ‘not eating sugar’ anymore! I laugh every time I see a picture with her holding one. This one is a bonus, she’s holding two! A picture of her below shows her with chewed bitten nails and now today… voila! She’s had a manicure and don’t they look fab?
Here is a picture of her with (short nails) wearing a black wig for her Womanizer Video I don’t know why she didn’t get them done for the video! Her stylist needs to be reprimanded! :
Simon Cowell confirmed that she is going to perform her new single live on on his British talent show The X-Factor, saying that she’s the “number one booking in the world.”
He says:
“We have the number one show in England. It’s the best show for her to perform on. We’re absolutely thrilled to have her. Everyone wants to work with her because she’s a star. She’s the number one booking in the world at the moment for a show… The fact that she goes a bit crazy occasionally makes her more interesting. And, if she wants to shave her head before she comes on the show, she’s welcome to. I don’t care.”
JLo and her devoted hubby Marc arrived to a Dolce & Gabbana party in Milan in the style truly fitting the diva she is! They rode in on a horse drawn carriage. Actually, make that 4 horses and a golden carriage!
I had to take a second look to make sure… yes it is… she’s wearing a little veil. What happened to Jenny from the block?! I’ve noticed she has this same pose, same pout, same ‘look at me glaze- eyed expression’ on most of her pictures lately. What’s with him and the sunglasses at night? Does he think he’s cool?
A judge has just ordered the immediate release of Busta who had been detained at London City Airport on his arrival in the UK to play a charity gig despite having a work permit to play at the Orange RockCorps gig at the Royal Albert Hall. Curiously enough, he had previously visited the UK twice this year.
Mr Justice Flaux, who earlier granted an injunction by telephone to prevent Rhymes being returned to Amsterdam, heard Busta was kept in a room measuring 7ft by 8ft under the eyes of five armed police officers.
He ruled that it was arguable that Rhymes’s detention was unlawful.
The judge said:
“It seems to me that it is difficult to see upon what basis the temporary admission of the claimant or his temporary release into the jurisdiction has been refused. In all the circumstances it seems to me that he is entitled to an order that he be released forthwith or alternatively is entitled to bail.”
Stephen Greene, co-founder of RockCorps, said:
“We’re shocked at this sequence of events and this treatment of Busta. Orange RockCorps has inspired thousands of young Brits to help their community, get involved and make a real difference through a love of music.”
Busta hasn’t ever served any time in prison, and has completed community service for his convictions. In 2007 he was charged in New York with an assault on his former driver.
The Orange RockCorps event is part of a government-funded programme to boost volunteering, set up by Gordon Brown in 2006. The event is endorsed by the Princes Trust and the GLA, and has the support of London Mayor Boris Johnson.
Radio stations were supposed to start playing Britney Spears’ new single “Womanizer” on Monday, but it didn’t happen. Wendy Washington, a spokeswoman for the record company, said that the single’s release was pushed back:
“Yes, the mix is being finalized and is expected to be done within a week,” Washington said.
The last minute delay came about after a 37-second clip of “Womanizer” was leaked and played on the Web site of a Nashville, Tennessee, radio station last Friday. The leak was plugged almost immediately as her record label Zomba Label Group/Jive Records told the station to take the song off its site.
I”m not surprised since what we all heard of“Womanizer” did not sound like an immediate hit judging from the reactions of commentators on the Web. The site Hollyscoop.com said the fake song “Candy From Strangers,” posted online last week by a Spears impostor, was more catchy than the leaked song from Spears herself!
The single is off Brit’s new album “Circus,” which is scheduled to be released on the her 27th birthday on Dec. 2.
Spears needs a hit badly. Since her very public meltdown last year everyone is waiting to see if she still has it.

Here she is posing for a private photo-shoot with Greek-born photog Spyros Poros at the sacred Acropolis in Athens.
Jennifer in a fabulous flowing gown is holding herself up between two huge pillars of the ancient Erechtheion, on the north side of the Acropolis.
She was in Greece for a single concert on Saturday, wearing three outfits for her performance, including a white Charleston-like dress, a black body-hugging outfit and a gold-coloured short dress with black knee-high boots.
